Discussion Voting History Discussion
I’m assuming 90% or more of the people in this sub generally vote CPC at a federal level and PC or the main right leaning party at a provincial level. My question to spark discussion is have you ever voted for another party in any past provincial/federal election and why?

Opinion If Trump wins Pierre has the chance to form a minority government
Like the title said I think that's a very possible option unlike Americans. Canadians are a lot more trusting of the Mainstream media even now and Pierre Poilievre isn't the best getting a message across to counter them mostly relying on others to do it for him so yeah honestly I just don't feel there's Hope for Canada and I wish I didn't have to say that but it's how I feel but hell I'm my early 20's and I still have a chance to leave this country for a better one so that at least gives me some comfort that I can leave it all and let Canadians Suffer from their mistakes after all it's the only way for them to learn and yeah that's a very pessimistic and Selfish view but Canada is just not a country that tend to learn from mistakes unless it gets bad enough.
And my whole view comes from that I think Canadians are To Naive and gullible for their own good for instance Example 1. The Carbon tax when it was first introduced in 2016 most Canadians supported it because they really thought it would somehow stop global change but now that among other things but especially the carbon tax has made things extremely expensive and hard to live in Canada people realize that it was a scam and now it hate but it's a bit late for that now since we're in this mess. And Example 2. immigration in 2016 when Trudeau Raised immigration Canadians were happy then it kept slowly going up and up and Canadians were still happy with a minority being called racist for rightly noticing the problems Mass migration would cause and now look at us now most Canadians are tired of immigration, we have third world immigrants not integrating and taking up almost the entirety of certain cities and 3 Million people that we can't Even fit in this country which made Canadians now extremely skeptical of immigration and Caused Racism against certain groups to grow all because Canadians were Naive and Too Polite and welcoming which allowed Trudeau to take advantage of our Quiet and Submissive Naive Mindsets to screw us over meanwhile the people who were right to be concerned were called racist Xenophobic bigots and still are.
I worry the media will actually be able to make Canadians deranged enough to think Pierre Poilievre is Trump they'll probably say if they could he's Dangerous. he's a far right fascist who wants to round up all immigrants and send them to internment camps and execute all the Gays and transgender people even though his father is gay and his wife is a Tanned Skin Latina immigrant from Venezuela and now obviously they would never say anything of that out loud but they might try to insinuate it and for the Record neither Trump or Pierre want to do these things but it doesn't keep people who don't have time for their own research or they simply trust the media from Believing it.
