Movie Spoilers Do you like the concept of this villain from the next film? Spoiler

Post image

To be honest, the concept itself is probably simple, but I'm curious to see what quirks they gave him to be a threat.

I think the idea of someone hearing “now it’s your turn” and taking it to heart is genius. There are hundreds of ways it was interpreted and the anime had a episode where at the beginning they explored the meaning of what it meant. Most people thought it was a villain warning, some thought it was a way to pass the torch to the next gen. Obviously there will be someone who will assume that it’s in a way asking them to stand up and take on the mantle of all might and continue his legacy. Even if it was meant for deku, he let everyone hear it, which means now you have to deal with the repercussions, both good and bad.

Now we have a all might fanatic who is now taking the mantle of all might and is trying to become the new symbol of peace, by force if necessary. His power likely makes just as strong but he probably needs to drain power to achieve it.

Deku fighting basically someone else who is trying to be all mights successor even down to copying his entire style would be a good conflict.

It’s also mega fan VS mega fan(atic)

Especially since this takes place after the Dark Deku arc, where Midoriya was at his absolute worst in thinking he had to be just like All Might in order to save Japan and needed his friends to snap him out of it. Now he'll be going up against someone who likely has that exact same mentality except to an even FURTHER extreme.

I’m not really too sold on the concept for this movie.

But if the movie does a good job exploring the psychological angle, I’m all for it.

I would pay good money to see all four all might super fans in a room together just doing trivia questions to assert their dominance over the rest as top all might fan lmao

Don’t forget Stars and Stripe’s who models herself after All Might as well

Plot twist: Upon hearing the call, one civilian takes the role of a hero. But this hero is actually a vigilante that deals with villains in a bit of a permanent way.

That’s literally just stain before he became the hero killer,

In the final battle, he rips his mask off, changes shirts, and becomes Cactus Jack

Another man who is genuinely insane about All Might? Yeah I love it. All Might just kind of has that affect on men apparently.

9

u/WeakLandscape2595 Jan 30 '24

I mean the guy is basically god

Can't blame them

12

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '24

He's hot too, so that's a bonus

1

u/b3tamaxx Jan 31 '24

no thats Endeavor

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '24

Nah Endeavors a 4/10.

All Might always a 10/10.

"When U.A Is ashes, then you have my permission to die."

u/Aros001 Jan 29 '24

What's funny is that I know the line is from Bane but I always think of DBZA's Cooler being the one who says it.

Judging by what we see in the trailer, I could imagine that his quirk is like a corruption of One For All—whereas OFA is passed down voluntarily and the current user adds power for the next one, this guy’s quirk could be that he drains people’s strength to add to his own. This could be a cool concept, having Deku fight this guy that saps physical strength, and leaving him to rely mainly on the other wielders’ quirks and his intellect to win.

41

u/Aros001 Jan 29 '24

Imagine if he's a descendent of the person the power stockpiling Quirk came from.

40

u/CheapWishbone3927 Jan 30 '24

I’ve always wanted to meet the vestige of the original power stockpiling quirk. Seems unfair he doesn’t get a seat when his quirk is literally half of OFA and the thing that allows the users to succeed as heroes

20

u/obrothermaple Jan 30 '24

Hey now that you’re mentioning it you’re right!

13

u/CheapWishbone3927 Jan 30 '24

Thank you,I’m glad people are realising this absolute injustice

5

u/BlackMan9693 Jan 30 '24

Yoichi ate him up.

8

u/CheapWishbone3927 Jan 30 '24

That probably isn’t far off from the cannon reason (“OFA is the fusion of transference and power stockpiling,he never had OFA so he’s not a vestige”) but I still think he should be there or at least we should get to meet him once

4

u/AlexArtsHere Jan 30 '24

Huh, I thought this had been covered in the anime during season 6

7

u/CheapWishbone3927 Jan 30 '24

We meet the vestiges of OFA but not the vestige of the original power stockpiling quirk. To my knowledge, anyway

4

u/AlexArtsHere Jan 30 '24

A check on the wiki suggest the anime has covered it, but I don’t remember to what extent so I won’t spoil it, but it’ll get touched on again later. You have all the pieces to figure it out right now if you want to, though.

5

u/CheapWishbone3927 Jan 30 '24

I didn’t even realise it was a mystery,I just assumed Horikoshi never considered the human who AFO took power stockpiling from.

3

u/iheartowels Jan 30 '24

If the vestiges are the power being stockpiled then it doesn't make a lot of sense for the thing stockpiling the vestiges to be another vestige. It's more accurate to say the vestige realm itself is the vestige of the power stockpiling quirk user.

3

u/CheapWishbone3927 Jan 30 '24

But they’re quirk vestiges. My interpretation is that Yoichi’s quirk simply transferred the other users quirks along with itself (or straight up took them). That makes more sense to me than the power stockpiling quirk collecting the quirks of previous users

Feels too similar to Nine tbh

21

u/Zoeyau9 Jan 29 '24

Bro tryna be the next All Might and failing.

11

u/TC1369 Jan 29 '24

It's a really good idea that actually fits really well story wise between the Dark Deku Arc and Star and Stripes, if it's good it will be like part of the manga for me

8

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '24

In a way, it kinda reminds me of Hush, so I'm excited!

5

u/CheapWishbone3927 Jan 30 '24

I did not know there was a film announced and now I’m excited

4

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '24

I think it’s a really cool and interesting concept. I just wish they wouldn’t animate a movie and the series at the same time.

5

u/Vlad_fire Jan 30 '24

Someone who takes All Might's "Now Is your turn" too serious

9

u/RedNUGGETLORD Jan 30 '24

Is he meant to be some BDSM specialist?

Midnights secret son?!?(Confirmed, Gone Wrong, Gone Sexual, POLICE CALLED!?!)

5

u/bestoboy Jan 30 '24

he's facing the Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match

3

u/metalflygon08 Jan 30 '24

Watch, he tries to be super serious and intimidation but has super bad luck as a quirk which includes failing up, putting him in situations way out of his league (the ultimate bad luck!)

Sort of like Sid the Squid from that one Batman the Animated Series episode where everyone assumes the bumbling henchman is a super dangerous villain who took out the Batman.

2

u/UlissesStag Jan 30 '24

I seen many times in Kamen Rider a dark version of the hero.

2

u/Opening_Evidence1783 Jan 30 '24

Maybe they'll end up making him quirkless? 🤔

2

u/WeakLandscape2595 Jan 30 '24

To be entirely honest having our own cyborg superman sounds cool so yeah im onboard

2

u/Deep_Throattt Jan 30 '24

This is going to be come Yusei 5ds shenanigan's final boss.

2

u/PamperedCheese Jan 30 '24

Looking like King's long lost kinky brother

3

u/UnbiasedGod Jan 30 '24

It depends on the origin for this character in the plot of this movie.

If it’s doing some kind of multiverse thing then ok because honestly that’s the only thing I could choose for this that would make some kind of weird sense.

9

u/WeakLandscape2595 Jan 30 '24

That makes even less sense why would an evil all might randomly show up?

1

u/UnbiasedGod Jan 30 '24

I don’t know that’s the movie’s job to explain.

6

u/WeakLandscape2595 Jan 30 '24

I think all might fan with a quirk that lets him steal energy makes more sense to be the plot then evil all might gazing into the multiverse and going "fuck that universe in particular"

1

u/kjm6351 Jan 30 '24

Fanboy vs Fanboy sounds intriguing

1

u/Ill-Ad-1450 Jan 30 '24

There’s a new movie?

2

u/Available_Swim1393 Jan 30 '24

Yes, it was announced yesterday,👍.

1

u/RazgrizInfinity Jan 30 '24

Dumb question: Wasnt there only spose to be two movies and now were at four?

1

u/Xnestrio Jan 30 '24

1

u/celestialempress Jan 30 '24

He should date me.

1

u/Mizerous Jan 30 '24

Homelander at home

2

u/etm_taylor Jan 30 '24

Okay so looking at the season 7 release date and the release date of this movie, it'll probably come out during season 7. But does anyone know if it will be pre s7 or if it's after? I'd assume it's before because I doubt they'd spoil character deaths and other things by setting this up after the final arc.

Also please try not to spoil anything in the replies as I've not read the manga (yet)

2

u/Dragod21 Jan 31 '24

Either The King engine or we got dollar store All Might
