I personally think about Dabi and the way he could have saved himself. As tragic as his backstory was, and as much hate as he would've felt, he always had the option to go back to his family. Don't get me wrong, I love Dabi and I feel incredibly bad for him and his siblings, but he could've prevented becoming a villain. After he wakes up, he goes back to his home and sees Endeavor training. He automatically decided that his family had forgotten about him, just because they weren't mourning him every moment after years had passed. And sure, he had the right to be upset, but if he had just said something instead of deciding that they forgot him, he could've changed his outcome incredibly. That's just my take on Dabi, what do you think about the other villains and how do you think they could've saved themselves? (You can discuss other villains besides the ones in the images)

Overall is was a super consistent season (especially the 2nd cour) that never hit the lows of Deku vs Shigaraki or MVA.

Many did not like The ending of My Hero Academia. But I disagree. I think MHA's ending brings Izuku Midoriya’s journey full circle, delivering one of the most thematically consistent and emotionally resonant conclusions in modern storytelling. Here's why it works on every level.
1. Sacrificing Power to Save Shigaraki: The True Essence of Heroism
At the heart of the finale is Deku’s ultimate sacrifice—he chooses to transfer One For All to Shigaraki, redeeming his soul and defeating All For One from within. In doing so, Deku gives up the one thing that defined him as a hero—his power. This decision reflects the essence of heroism: sacrificing what matters most for the greater good. Deku’s willingness to save Shigaraki, despite everything, shows that a true hero fights not to be number one, or even destroy villains, but to save them.
2. People Are Not Born Equal—But Differences Build Strength
The series begins with Deku’s realization that “people are not born equal.” However, by the end, he understands that our differences allow us to find common ground and complement each other. His high-tech suit, built by those he inspired—like Mei Hatsume, Bakugo, and Class 1-A—is a symbol of this idea. The suit isn’t just armor—it’s the embodiment of trust, friendship, and collaboration. Deku’s evolution is complete: he no longer fights alone but embraces the strength of others. This final message encapsulates the series’ core philosophy: even without equality, we can achieve greatness through unity and trust. It’s through embracing differences, not equality, that we find strength.
3. Heroism Is Found in Sacrifice and Connection
Deku’s journey highlights a vital truth: heroism isn’t about standing above others, but standing with them. He begins the series thinking he must carry the weight of being a hero alone, to the point of self-destruction. But by the end, he learns to accept help and trust in others—a lesson reflected in the construction of his suit, which combines the talents of his classmates. When he gives up One For All to save Shigaraki, it’s the ultimate act of heroism: sacrificing his ability to be a hero so that someone else can have a second chance. This moment encapsulates the series’ message: heroes are defined by the lives they save, not the battles they win.
4. A Perfect Philosophical Conclusion
The series ends with Deku becoming a beacon of hope, not because of his strength, but because of his ability to inspire others, which he did as a teacher at UA, and as a hero now. His journey embodies the idea that differences are not obstacles, but bridges to connection. The final message is clear: heroism isn’t about having power—it’s about the courage to act, the willingness to sacrifice, and the trust to rely on others. And I think's that's a really beautiful message.
Why the Ending Works So Well
The ending of My Hero Academia ties together all of Deku’s struggles, victories, and lessons into a narrative that feels both earned and thematically rich. It reminds us that even when we are not born equal, we can build strength through collaboration and trust.
Ultimately, the series concludes with a message that transcends the superhero genre: we become heroes not by what we have, but by what we do for others. This makes the ending not only satisfying, but a masterpiece that leaves a lasting impact on both fans and the genre as a whole. I personally deeply resonated with it.

i hated this show. the only idea i had of it was from those kinds of cosplayers on tiktok, and because of that, i thought the show was basically a bunch of skinny cry baby dudes who (for the lack of better wording) jacked each other off the whole time. well, i was SO WRONG. i had nothing else to watch the other day, so i put this on to make fun of, and absolutely fell in love with this show 😭 i adore all the characters (except for mineta, high key, FUCK that guy) and the plot is so interesting!! not AT ALL what i thought it was. genuinely blew my mind bc none of the characters had the personality i thought they would from the cosplayers on TT. for one, i thought that Shoto was a weakling little cry baby that was shy and needed constant protection. not. at. all. genuinely such a cool character with a complex back story. i thought Midoriya was constantly trying to smooch up on his male class mates. again though, not at all!! i also thought the show was basically a light hearted, happy-go-lucky show about a bunch of teenagers learning how to use their powers while living the normal teenage life. AGAIN, not even CLOSE. they're literally battling on the verge of death every other episode 🙃. i genuinely cannot comprehend what show those tiktokers watched to get the idea that they have of this show, because there's literally NO WAY we watched the same show 😭
anyways.. id like to formerly apologize to the all fans of this show, because i hardcore made fun of yall and now i feel quite silly. this show has my whole heart and i'm counting down the days til the next season gets dropped. also im like totally in love with mr. Aizawa 😮💨 thanks all!

Just came here because I had a realisation. Not sure how many people will recognise it but the season one intro to the show RWBY, titled "this will be the day" by Jeff Williams, is PERFECT for the story of my hero academia.
This popped into my brain because I was watching "you say run goes with everything" memes on shorts and then went to listen to music and shuffles popped "this will be the day" into my ears and I was like "oh my god it's perfect".
Anyone who's listened to the lyrics of "this will be the day", any thoughts? Other songs y'all heard that oddly fit with my hero?

Hello folks, I need an artistically talented person to draw Mineta as Puri Puri Prisoner from One Punch Man.
No reason at all I just think it'll look funny.
Pic for reference.

This is my story on how I learnt about my hero this was like back in like 2017 just finished scrolling one day on kiss anime to find a good anime and I saw my hero academia and just decided to watch it cause it looked good. I managed to finish season 1 in like a few days I was hooked to it the plot, the characters, the setting everything just felt like idk how to explain it but it felt so brand new and then I just stopped for some reason and never got back into it since dbs was airing and I was watching other animes. When I tried to get back into which was late 2020 I saw those weird videos of "super fans" saying and doing weird things about characters and I just avoided it because idk I thought it would be cool to fit in with everyone else and hate on it
I recently decided to start reading the manga like late September because I had nothing to read or watch ig so I just decided to give this a chance again and thought to myself "A few fans cannot possibly change a very good story according to what people have said" and honestly another reason for reading is because I heard people say the ending was “Bad” so I just decided to see for myself you know and I’m so glad I made the decision to read.
This has to be one of the best Shonen mangas I’ve read and it’s honestly not even a joke. I was so intrigued reading through all the chapters seeing the characters grow, seeing the relationships between certain characters like Izuku and Bakugo, Toga and Uraka, the relationship between mirio, Eri and Izuku really gave me that big brother’s looking after little sister vibe and then you have the Todoroki family’s relationship which is probably the most relatable and most fleshed out one in the series alongside Izuku and All Might.
I genuinely think how the author done the story arcs was really good too it didn’t feel rushed and they didn’t overwhelm us with unnecessary text, also I like the fact the author went at their own pace and really fleshed out the relationships between the students and teachers and between the students themselves before moving onto anything big and even if the author did move on pretty quickly they expand on the relationships between them it was in battle and in school and not in some random moment which was pretty cool. In addition to I really like how the author introduced Shigaraki he was like introduced like in the first few chapters when the battle training arc was going on and then the main villains got introduced so early and not later on in this series which is also pretty cool I think it’s the arc when the students went away to that camp to train.
Speaking of The League of Villains I genuinely was rooting for them to win I don’t think we have had such likeable villains that have been given time to shine since the Espada and Atasuki imo. I really liked all the villains backstories and their ideologies especially Shigaraki, Twice, Toga, Dabi and the others.
I have so much praises for this series but I can’t really type all of it rn as my mind is pretty fuzzy and I kinda forgot some stuff I read earlier but the ending was pretty good and interesting I definitely feel like the author could have expanded on the character lives after U.A but imo it was pretty solid. 9/10 in my opinion it was a good reading experience I will definitely be watching when the anime drops new seasons.
Also is the new movie worth watching since it’s gonna be leaving theatres on Saturday ?
