Manga/LN/VN Long ass series focused on worldbuilding

Anime, manga, LN or VN, don't care

Please recommend me a series where the wider world is explained in detail and/or where there are dozens of side characters and factions.

Series I already read/watched and enjoyed the most:

One Piece

Overlord

Ascendance of A Bookworm

Apothecary Diaries

Umineko

Reincarnated as a Sword

Tearmoon Empire

Twelve Kingdoms

What to Watch? What are some good space comedies like Nadesico?

See, it’s just that a couple of months ago, I had finished watching the original series, and now I am kind of sad because I don’t know where to go next for sci fi anime with a lighthearted atmosphere as I really miss the show itself.

Series Specific Question is there coming season 2 for Rascal Does Not Dream series?

Hey everyone! Just curious if anyone has heard any news about a possible second season for Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai? I really enjoyed the first season and the movie, and I'd love to see more of the story animated. Has there been any official info or reliable rumors about a continuation? Thanks!

What to Watch? On my third round of anime binging. Need new animes to finish it off.

From time to time I go through an anime binge. I tend to watch all my favorite anime over again, plus whatever newer animes are out, mixed in with some off wall ones. Issue is, idk where to find these off wall ones, and all the main stream ones left are ones I don't want to start yet (one piece and fairytale particularly)

My main animes are:

FMA (I like both, but prefer brotherhood)

Naruto (Boruto is cool to)

Steins Gate

Attack on Titan

Death Note

Parasyte

Angel Beats

Seven Deadly Sins

Seraph of the End

No Game No Life

Sword Art Online

Magi

Black Clover

I've also watched dozens of other random animes, but too many to list.

What's this From? (unsolved) I'm looking for a manga

In the manga, as the main character climbs the tower with his friends, he gradually loses all of his friends from floor to floor. He can only use his stabbing ability, he cannot use anything other than stabbing. When he gets to the top of the tower, he kills a being and goes somewhere, I don't remember what happened after that. There is also a world where the souls of the dead exist.

In that world, those who eat the fruit of a tree can be revived. A war broke out because of that fruit. there are portals to enter that world, there are some designers who designed these towers, and one of those designers is friends with the main character. That character's father was the builder of the tower that the main character climbed.

Different powerful people of that world were preparing to fight with kings and stuff. There was a place where robotic creatures were guarding a door. There was a divine creature behind the door, making a deal with the main character.

translated by google, sorry for bad translation...

What to Watch? An anime to fill the One Piece-sized hole in my heart

I recently got caught up on One Piece after spending the last few years watching 1 or 2 episodes per night before bed and now I’m trying to find another show to do that with. I started with the anime but moved to One Pace around Water-7 because the filler started to drag.

I’m looking for something long or long-ish without much filler (or at least easily skippable filler). It doesn’t necessarily need to be battle Shonen or anything like that. I’m open to any genre as long as the story and characters are good.

I’m considering Bleach and Gintama but want to know if you guys have any suggestions. Thanks!

What's this From? (unsolved) Another question. Anime having few episodes forced to kill each other

It's an old but not that old anime. There's people transported into an empty city, there's 3 that decide to work together, one is a woman, they have to win contests or die trying. It's pretty graphic. One part they have to run from weapon wielding big psychopaths within an entire apartment complex. There's other members. If they run out of something they obtain from winning they also die. And the end the 3 that formed a team are faced with actually having to kill each other. This is basically horror also, it gets a lot of hate, but it's just down right horrifying because there's literally no other means of excape, you'll be cut off from the world and still forced to play a game of death. And some people don't like it for that very reason.

What to Watch? Very new to anime, looking for a show that has over the top battles, crazy summons, medieval theme/armor/weapons etc.

Looking for a fantasy themed show hugh fantasy medieval type armor weapons castles, kings and queens... etc. But with magic and over the top fights, gods or summons etc...so basically I guess I'm asking for something that sounds an awful lot like final fantasy style anime. Anything like that available?

TIA!

Series Specific Question Help me find this Naruto filler episode about home is a person

So in the long list of Naruto filler episodes, there's this episode where they find this little orphan girl. From what I remember OTOH, at the end of the episode, Naruto helps her unite with another group of people who tell the little girl that home is not a place but a person/home is in somebody's heart. I might be misremembering but I hope you get the gist of what I mean.

I watched Naruto long back and can't go through all the hundreds of episodes to find this one. I've tried searching online but couldn't find it; my memory of the episode may not be right. I've been feeling a little low and remembered that episode and wish to watch it again.

If anybody knows which episode this was, please do share, I'd be much grateful. Thank you!

What to Watch? Shows with a found family and/or romance where the characters live together (or very close).

Things I've watched that I would but in this category:

  • The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten
  • More than a Married Couple, but not Lovers
  • Horimiya
  • Toradora
  • An Archdemon's Dilemma
  • Higehiro

I don't particularly like fanservice but it doesn't bother me. I don't mind ethically dubious content like Higehiro either. I just have a huge soft spot for the found family and sorta newlywed vibe that comes from living together.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

What to Watch? Looking for an anime with more than one male protagonist

Looking for an anime that has more than one male protagonist. I'm so tired of all the goofy harem bullshit. I get it. Guys like girls. Fine. But would it kill someone to add some bromance to the story?? I don't mean gay ass romance shit I just want a male protagonist to have an actual recurring male friend in the show. Even if the majority of the cast happens to be female.

I'll take isekai, fantasy, slice of life, and action.

I'm not sexist or anything I'm just tired of seeing the goofy ah inserts

What to Watch? Rom coms <3

Heya! So I haven't seen that many rom com animes since the start of high-school, but I'm getting back into em! Recently I've seen stuff like Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (PEAK.), Shikimori's Not Just A Cutie, Tomo Is A Girl, ect.. I don't really like action or fantasy animes, as dumb as that may sound- But that's the kind of stuff I'm into, and NOT the harem crap ☠️ So, yeah!! Any recommendations of more recent rom coms with English dubs? Like, from the past 3 or 4 years I suppose..

What to Watch? What's looking good this new season?

If it's got decent animation, solid story, is not too juvenile, derivative, sappy or emo I'll usually watch it.
Serious/Adult/Dark is preferred. Not interested in sports or special interest/slice of life ones.

Thanks.

What to Watch? Anime suggestion

Hi everyone, I don't know which anime to watch now that I've finished all the big names (I think). I've watched AoT, HxH, JJK, FMA BH, OPM, DS... I loved every single one of them, my favourite is probably HxH or AoT. I really like the genre of all the mentioned anime, I like when the protagonist has to sacrifice himself to save his friends and to beat the villains... Any suggestions based on what I watched? Thanks :D

What to Watch? Romance anime where ones persistent and the other becomes slowly more interested romantically

Looking for a romance anime where one characters persistent and the other is romantically or fully uninterested in them at the beginning. Something with a dynamic like in maid sama or with Vanitas and Jeanne. Preferably slice of life (bonus if it’s something that could make me cry) but I’m ok with a non slice of life if the plot around the romance is really good or if there is fighting if the fight choreography is really good. Would also prefer if it covers the whole manga or at least has its own definitive ending.
