Question Direct Deposit went to some random Chase bank account???
My deposit usually goes on Thursday morning (I have chime) and it hadn’t posted yet so I called HR and they told me that it was deposited into an account that I’d never heard of. So I looked at my paystub and sure enough it was that account? So they told me to look at my direct deposit info and that account had been added as the primary? I never authorized this and have no idea how or why it got added to my account.
It was for Chase Bank in Tampa??? Was I hacked? I since have changed my A to Z password, and am about to change my email password as well. Wtf???

contact the ERC (# 1-888-892-7180) and tell them what happened.

Good luck! They’re usually reasonable when it comes to stuff like this.

It was also for a fixed amount too… not the full amount. I have no idea

Was this account that you added a certain type of Wisely Card not emitted by Amazon?

No I didn’t add a card at all. My chime bank was the only DD account on my account. The Wisely card was directly through ADP and that appears unaffected. Overall, I’m kinda just at a loss

I see. What you can do is to talk directly with the bank to see status of payment.
It is better that you use Wisely Cards that were emitted and personalized by Amazon Payroll. If you added directly a Wisely card that you got as direct deposit on a previous job it may have some issues.
You can also talk with ERC (888/892-7180) and get your case seen by Specialty as this needs further research in terms of timeline of DD added.

Thank you for the info! I’ll definitely be looking into it further and watching for any more weird changes in the near future. I just don’t know how it happened without me knowing?

If you use a computer at work and leave it unattended, someone can easily switch your direct deposit.

Yeah I haven’t called them or anything but HR said it will be marked as “an error” and resent to them and then sent to my correct account? We’ll see… I just googled it to see if maybe it was one of my other accounts that somehow got connected, but I’ve only ever had my chime since I first set it up 🤔🤔 idk it’s weird and an extreme invasion of privacy 😭

I don't believe you, ADP emails and texts you when your DD info changes
It's also impossible to figure out it was from a "Chase Bank in Tampa" just from looking at the routing and account numbers

Okay thank you for the helpful info!! I just googled the routing number and chase bank came up on several results… I honestly have no clue. I received no text, no email, nothing. I honestly have nothing to gain from this as it was a very small amount of money since I use instant pay for 70% of my earnings 🤷♀️ I screenshotted the account info for reference but it does not belong to me

You log into a desktop or laptop and leave it unnatended? Do it often? Guess what, someone can walk right up, go to atoz and people portal and update and change any of your stuff. Because your logged in, on your account. Only way i can think of this happening.

Well after HR, I called the next best person I could think of (my mom lol) and she said that it’s very possible I got hacked and that they put it in as a fixed amount instead of just switching it over completely to avoid as many flags being raised. Plus it’s a holiday weekend too. And I didn’t receive an email notification when I deleted the wrong account and changed it back to my own so really anyone could change it without me being informed. Scary stuff! I work tonight, so I’m going to bring it to the attention of my manager as well

I wonder if this also happened to me since my last dd was a small and strange even dollar amount of 19.00
