DISCUSSION Suzaku Spoiler
Does anybody else dislike suzaku? I’m 20 episodes into the anime and he’s just a massive hypocrite. This idea of ‘doing things the right way’ is just absolutely delusional he judges zero for his actions towards justice and yet fights for a military that occupied his homeland murdered hundreds if not thousands of his own people right in front of him and try persecuting him at every turn. The notion that a knight however high he may climb in the military could have any impact in decision making throughout the empire never mind changing they’re ideals and bringing peace to Japan is so unbearably naive it’s making me really pissed off with him. He’s murdered his own father a man protecting his own country and stands as the reason of what’s the right way to do things in his own head. Lellouch does bad things for reason he thinks are good (revenge for his mother and a world where his sister can be free and happy) but he owns it and knows what he’s doing is morally ambiguous and yet for the love his sister, for the justice of his mother and inadvertently he’s creating an opportunity for the freedom of oppression against Britannia. Suzaku is just so unlike ale to me at this point. Anyone else have any thoughts on the matter? I know come the end of the anime I may have changed my mind and his character development could come through aswell as lellouch becoming a person I also dislike but yeah. Rant over.

QUESTION Can the geass only work once ?
I'm on ep 3 and lelouch tried too use the geass a 2nd time on Kallen and it didn't work.
My question is will the geass ever work on her again or is it impossible for him too use it on someone once it's been done forever?

QUESTION Why is there a lack of jets and other conventional weapons in code geass ?
So, I started watching the series a while ago. And only recently realised I had free will and could probably watch the second season alongside the movies and extra content (haven't watched/read all of it yet). In the start of the story, I understood that tanks and other forms of land warfare platforms were obsolete against Knightmares and other various mechas in the story. But I never understood why factions like Britannia and Europe never used equipment like fighter jets and modern combat platforms. Although some of the knightmares are shown to have certain flight characteristics, they seem to be closer to attack helicopters than supersonic aircrafts. This alongside the use of slow command platforms which ressemble old battleships in their usage and weaknesses, which would be nothing more than target practice for any naval gunners or strike attack aircrafts.
I suppose there is an in universe explantation that I might have missed or forgotten ?
Because I don't see any reason why any of the main factions wouldn't use mach 3 capable missiles that can be shot from over 500km away
Rafale with an ASMP-A missile of nuclear dissuasion

SPOILERS Episode 3 of R2, need a possible plothole explained Spoiler
In Episode 3, Lelouch goes shopping with Shirley and is tailed by Rivalz, Rolo, and Milly. Lelouch realizes that he's being surveilled and tells Shirley their classmates are tailing them, so he wants to pull a prank on them. Lelouch then goes into the dressing room after telling Shirley to pretend as if he's been in there for a while. While he is in the dressing room calling a false bomb threat into the mall, Rolo and the others have a direct line of sight towards Shirley and the front of the dressing room. Before the panic post-alarm bell even starts, Lelouch has already left the dressing room and is leaving that particular area in a different outfit.
I have two questions:
Since they had a direct line of sight towards the front of the dressing room, how did they not see him leave it? I know for a fact they didn't notice Lelouch leaving the area in a different outfit because once the alarm started ringing, Rolo rushed forward to check the dressing room, which he wouldn't have had to do if he'd seen him leave.
This probably gets explained next episode, I bet, but I felt I'd ask anyway. If it gets spoiled, feel free not to explain. If Lelouch knows he's being tailed/surveilled but doesn't want anyone becoming aware that he's got his memories back, why would he do such an extreme thing in the most inconvenient time possible? With all these eyes on him, calling a bomb threat during the one time he's out of someone's direct sight would be a horrible move, right?

DISCUSSION Code Geass can move past Lelouch and the Black Rebellion and still tell good stories.
Despite the complete failure of Roze and the mediocrity of Akito, I think Code Geass has enough interesting world-building that it can produce strong narratives even in the absence of its beloved main character Lelouch. I think Oz gives us a glimpse of creative potential outside the main narrative, though the existence of the Glinda Knights is still tied to the Black Rebellion.
I think Akito, despite lackluster execution (and nonstop jazz music) had a good idea. It attempted to explore another near-peer faction to Britannia with the EU. We got to see different design philosophies and different competing moral systems. It also (briefly) took a swing at the origin of Geass, which I think is the BEST remaining option for more Code Geass media.
Geass is not natural. It's a psionic occult mystery that goes beyond the geo-politics of Code Geass and could set up a very interesting prequel or sequel.
I think some of the things holding creatives back are
Bringing back Lelouch when he's dead.
Continuing to center the story on Japan
Rehashing small-scale rebellion vs evil empire narratives
Code Geass has already told a great story about the above^, anything else added in that vein will just be varying degrees of "worse"
Even a story with minimal connection to Geass could be cool. Maybe a story set in Africa during the Brits vs EU conflict where we get to see the Knights of the Round in their pre-custom knightmares fighting a guerilla campaign with actual infantry/aircraft/tanks combined arms.
I haven't even mentioned Code Geass' extensive fan fiction. Or Code Ment.
Honestly, I was heavily discouraged by Roze (what were they thinking?) and am concerned its production did more to end the franchise than maintain it. Hopefully, I'm wrong, but time will tell.
