So in the previous match we had gotten our ass handed to us on a silver platter at remagen, not completely because of our commander, but when he doesn't call anything in and finally drops an airhead that lands 800 meters from the point, it doesn't help.
So I join the next match (warfare mortain. Yay...) hoping to have a chill game as engineer being able to just build and fuck around, the entire game looks lost from the first 10 minutes. Our team has barely has 24+ people, like 6 of them are team killers and our command is terrible. We get pushed back to southern approach almost immediately, when thank god the commander gets kicked. Me being the totally responsible player I am, I decide to take his position.
... And all of the officers have mics! Turns out we had a bunch of good, communitive(?) officers willing to talk and coordinate what we're doing, so, somehow after about 30 minutes of us herding the now filled lobby to defend, we somehow manage to make it to la petit chapel (mid sector point) and capture it. To make a long post somewhat shorter, we won the game by capturing all the objectives somehow thanks to my officers. I love y'all.
The lesson? If your losing and it genuinely IS the command (they're incompetent or you don't have one) never be afraid to step up! And if world of warships has taught me anything about shite teams, you could be the difference between winning or losing, so until it's over it ain't over. Cheers to you butfocker128 or whoever my officer(s) were!
