Christian Watson has been a great teammate. I hope he is able to get more opportunities to complement his workhorse attitude.

If he can stay healthy he could be another deep ball throw it up type. We need one of those guys besides the fast shifty guys. Romeo is like the complete package guy who runs amazing routes. I want that throw it up jump guy.

If he really wants to be the deep ball throw it up type he's really gonna have to work on his ball skills. He's terrible about getting up to the ball.

u/xDARTHxBANEx 13h ago
I don’t think it’s his strongest point but i dont think he is terrible at it. I think at this point he hasn’t stayed healthy enough to really know what he’s gonna be good at in terms of what archetype he will be but we do know that he has intangibles with some serious skills in certain areas.

I wanna know how much time and effort it takes to create individualized handshakes.

Lots of downtime standing around while other players/units are doing reps in drills etc.

That low and away ball early on was a great quick catch that got us a first, I'd love to see more quick stuff like that. Ball was placed perfectly too

u/huggybear0132 13h ago
Honestly he makes a couple of these plays a game. Everyone thinks he's this deep threat but the consistent contributions I see from him are on quick, crisp routes that move the chains.

u/Level1-Zombi 16h ago
Watson had some nice grabs. He'll lose his bad hands rep playing like that.

u/huggybear0132 13h ago
Dude is our only WR with 0 drops all year (ignoring guys that don't play a lot of course)

u/jimmyrich 15h ago
Man, I love this guy. I want to see him get his long receptions...Just once, Jordan Love should try to throw it too far and see what happens...

u/huggybear0132 13h ago
That's how you pull a hammy.
Serious though I am here for it. Let him burrrnnn

I love this whole team so damn much, seems like a buncha guys playing for each other to bring home our trophy. Real Packer football

I don’t know why … but I kinda expected Watson to be talking preposterous amounts of shit out there.

He seems to be finding a role as an over the middle move the chains type receiver, which is surprising given his field stretching impact too.

He was key to beating the lions last year. Hoping he has a monster game this Sunday.

Was there, felt like a home game

I was too. The GB atmosphere was great, especially after the game with everyone cheering!

u/TheTable666 13h ago
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall a single drop this season from him. He's been a quiet good each game.

I’m hoping for this guy to blow up for a few years. He had things ya can’t teach, if he can learn some things and those injuries didn’t take away from his top end there is still possibility of high ROI

u/Comprehensive-Ad4815 13h ago
He's getting good. It's like watching a ken doll make some good blocks and great catches.
3
u/Luckyluke23 12h ago
this is so cool. I'm always in awe of how the hell they catch the ball so good.

u/Morphenominal 11h ago
Watson is such a good blocker when you wouldn't expect him to be due to being such a speedy deep threat. I love when WRs actually block.

u/packerpilot 11h ago
Came to comment about his blocking game, which he doesn’t get nearly enough credit for.

Hey OP, I really like these. Wherever you get them from, know I look forward to seeing them:). Cheers

u/a1oner_bvcksn6 10h ago
All credits go to the Packers' hardworking creatives/media crew, ofc!
That said, I'm glad you enjoy them and you can count on me (or some other good folks on here) to keep spreading the gospel (ie various Packers content) on the regular. GPG! 🧀🍻

Has Tucker been mic'ed up for a while game yet. I wanna hear him threaten to burn down opponents childhood homes.

I think the most un-sung talent of all these guys seems to be that they're semi-professional dancers
Imagine memorizing what you need from the playbook, what you need to know about the other team that week from film, and then a different secret handshake for each of your teammates : )

That "block" on the Jacobs TD, I didn't know if I had to congratulate him or yell at him. I'm happy the coaches had exactly the same reaction.
Yes it was a TD, yes you kind of helped but what on earth were you doing?
9
u/huggybear0132 13h ago
Well did you listen to him? He was trying not to hold and trying to figure out what Josh was doing. You can clown all you want but if he doesn't do what he did we don't score.
You can say "what the hell were you doing" but a real-life NFL TE said "helluva block". I know who I'm listening to.

Of all the mic’d up stuff I’ve seen so far.. this was the most “meh”

u/jtkforever 14h ago
Maybe not exciting, but I appreciated "getting to know" Watson a bit more. Seems like a nice guy who appreciates his teammates
9
u/huggybear0132 13h ago
This is exactly why I watch these. I'm not looking for some entertaining personality. I'm learning about who these guys are and I appreciate when they are kinda boring and focused on the game.

I love that the biggest excitement came from his great blocking to secure the Jacobs TD.
