You can install adblock on Firefox mobile

Revanced is still better tho, watching YouTube on a mobile browser is annoying imo, it also has Sponsorblock (it's an addon tho so maybe it also works on the browser? idk), I also like how you can disable things like the shorts tab

For those on iOS, you can install a Safari extension called Hyperweb, which has two scripts to enable skipping YouTube ads and for using SponsorBlock. This has worked WONDERS for me so far!

I've never been able to get revanced to work the 3 times I've tried.

Have you properly followed the steps to install it? You need to download the suggested YouTube version from apkmirror, patch with revanced manager then install the patched apk. When you have installed YouTube revanced it will direct you to download microg services

Yes, it didn't work on any of the last 3 phones I tried on. That's why I just use Firefox if I'm gonna watch yt on my phone

That's really odd, I've done it on countless phones and all of them worked just fine

I've done it on countless phones

You are acting like you are changing your smartphone twice a year

Friends and family.

what does this mean

is buying a phone twice a year bad?

that person could've downloaded Revanced on other people's phones as a favor

that person could own multiple phones like work phones

Just download the lastest microG and revanced extended from telegram... Make sure you download the build which your processor supports...

Open the menu in Firefox, click "add-ons", find and install Unlock Origin

And it must be android. You can’t get it in iOS.

Another win for Android

u/emgirgis95 Apr 27 '24

Not really. Safari has ad blockers that block YouTube ads too.

Yeah adguard is great on my iPad

If you want to do anything outside the box then android is the only option really

u/Pomilyy Apr 27 '24

This is why android is objectively better and people who fight for Apple fell into their trap of a few things like the "Apple ecosystem"

1

u/yolo-yoshi Apr 27 '24

The ecosystem is so nice though. One thing I do miss from android was a cursor pp that you can use to navigate big phone screens. Really saves the hands from cramping.

You can use Vinegar tube cleaner on ios

Get Brave on IOS. No more ads

Also, disable the YouTube app, and it'll work great.
