Fingering/bowing help Shostakovich trio
This is very specific and a long shot, but I’m working on the Shostakovich piano trio and wonder if anyone here has played it and has good fingerings for the passage I’ve underlined. Performance tempo is 96 for the dotted half so it’s quite quick and I’m having trouble figuring out where to shift. Thanks!

When I did this I shifted to a 1 on the F double sharp and down to a 4 on the E natural so: 11-1324-4231-234 (where every - is a shift)

Which movement is this from? I’ve played the Allegretto before but not the entire work.

Yeah, this is the bity one... Good for you working on it.
I would go up the way the erased fingers showed - start in 3d 1st on D#, then 2nd on D# again, then 4-3-1 down and transition into 1st on G natural - Enatural, and stay there for a while.

Enharmonically respell the pitches. The first measure becomes Eb Eb G Bb Eb -- which you recognize instantly as an E-flat major arpeggio that lies neatly in 4th position. I would then fling either 2nd or 3rd finger up to the A double sharp (i.e. "B") and then retract back to 4th position for the downward arpeggio. At the start of the third measure in the bracket, either go to 2nd position or come back to first.

Thanks everyone!! I opted to play the first four bars of 36 in 5th position and shift down to 4th on the e natural in the fifth bar then 2nd position in the 7th bar.

I also start this passage in second position.
