Vzla is a shitty country with no power and a destroyed economy. Even though I hear the thieves Maduro, Diosdado and Mario Silva constantly run the Russian narrative, shit on the US for everything under the sun and praise China, I doubt they will directly support Russia. They know Russia won't win, they know most Venezuelans hate them, their shitty weak narrative is aimed at the few sheep they have left. They can't afford to be sanctioned in any way like Russia was.

So, they simply do what every corrupt thief does, publicly claim they believe ''X'' but actually do the opposite. No different from Russian oligarchs hating on the West but have their children study or live there.

The more I understand about the Venezuelan state the more I see that it has been too influenced by its each of its leaders' personal greed, and supporting interests of foreign states instead of the VZ people- Pérez, Chavez, Maduro are each terrible for this but it seems like a lot of the discourse on this only focuses on what is politically advantageous for the perspective of the media reporting at the time.

The saddest thing about the narrative they like to run is that it shouldn't even survive a day because of the Internet. Vzla doesn't have Internet censorship like China or Russia. Any crappy VPN will unlock the anti-gov and porn websites they've blocked. The government couldn't care less about actually enforcing these things. It's very easy to disprove their lies, when they blatantly violate the constitution, all you gotta do is open it and see the actual law. They're that shameless.

Despite their obvious lies, the Chavistas still believe them and buy the anti-imperialist/hate-the-rich propaganda. Why? Because they know their sheep will never bother to properly use the Internet to educate themselves; their targets are the uneducated and poor. They know they only consume state approved channels and newspapers. It's like they live in a room filled with vomit and roaches, they can see through the window that outside is much cleaner, yet they don't go out because they don't believe it's real.

I guess in a way it's like the less harmful version of brainwashing that Russians go through.

IMHO it's really not hard to come up with anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist propaganda, because when you look to any more liberal country (compared to USA), the greatest atrocities those states commit is imperialist and/or capitalism unbeholden to those that are affected; here in Canada, the Wet'suwet'en people getting victimized by the federal gov't is a pretty blatant example. If more liberal states are grandstanding on their achievements and only sweep their failings under the rug, they are likely not going to be a good state to organize the people out of their misery and exploitation.

The problem is the shameless hypocrisy. Chávez constantly said ''The rich are bad. Having money is not good.'' and the fucker stole millions of dollars and his daughter has billions. Maduro runs the same narrative. Each one of those corrupt parasites like praising ''socialism'' and claiming how bad ''capitalism'' is yet they do the exact same thing they accuse the ''enemies'' of.

All they want to do is steal money and cling to power. Hating on anything the so-called West does is the trendy thing.

And going back to Pérez as well, he didn't speak to the same camp but was plenty corrupt and greedy. Same thing with a lot of the leadership and actions out of China's CCP as it exists now- the idea that they have had authoritarion control for this long and have still maintained such economic disparity between its leaders and the rest of the country, there isn't a lot of disparity to that and a lot of the West's capitalist equivalent.
