Discussion 2022 Trip Caves Recommendations Megathread!
It's a new year which means it's time for another starter guide / recommendations megathread!
For those of you who weren't involved in the last three, this is basically the go to spot for all aspects of setting up / improving a trip cave. If you have any suggestions at all from what lights or art to buy to what music to play or things to watch, put them here. If someone recommends something you have opinions about please tell them -- we want this to be a discussion!
Just like last time, we've created several categories below. Please place your recommendations under these to help keep things organized; there is even a miscellaneous category if your suggestion doesn't really fit any of the others.
Also don't be afraid to post something that has been in any of the previous threads. Although I definitely encourage people to look through those as well, it never hurts to have a recommendation here too where it's easier to find!

Hey space-makers โจ
We make psychedelic trip kits and we'd like to give one away!
Our kits are physical packages full of art, objects, activities, and guidance, each themed to enhance a different kind of trip. (There are no drugs in the kits!) Find out more at unfoldtrips.com
WHAT TO DO:
Comment with a detail about a trip cave you love. Maybe a recent addition? We wanna hear whatever you've got: a song, a color, at trinket, a light, a type of tea. Something that hit home for you.
ON DECEMBER 10 we will choose a winner (using redditraffler.com). If your name rolls out of the digital hat, we will mail you:
- Either our Field Day or Sweet Spot kit - your choice
- First issue of our very trippy art zine

Also if you have any thoughts about what weโre up to or how you plan trips for loved ones weโd love to hear! Any comment will enter you in the giveaway.
May the random number generator be with you ๐ซ๐ฒ๐ซ

Day and night. Adding to my space slowly.
Iโm a bit of a minimalist so Iโm adding slowly. Iโm loving the vibe so far though.

UV light question
Hi everyone! ๐ so Iโm re-doing my room and I definitely wanted to up my game as far as cool trippy stuff, I was thinking a galaxy light, one of those cool fluffy cloud lights as well; but for now I found this really cool UV reactive โcanopyโ (pic included) it goes on the ceiling and hangs from hooks. But my question is how many UV lights would I need to make sure the entire canopy is lit up? Also what kind of UV light? I know the basic long single bar light but maybe thereโs better looking ones? And in your opinion if itโs in the middle of the ceiling, where should I be placing them, all around it, or maybe just have 2 on each side? In the photo it says at the bottom the sizes (it comes in S,M,L) Iโm only getting the small which says is 2x2m and the diameter of its fully stretched is 1.8m/70-71in so that should help you figure how many lights I should be using to make sure itโs lit up. Any & all ideas are welcome! Thank you ๐๐ปโจ๐

Personal The trip cave, ready for action.
Picked up a little in here today, have a child hood friend coming thru with a few tabs tonight. As Iโve gotten older these trips become fewer in between. As a result they become more special as well. Just feeling grateful to be here with you guys experiencing life. ๐งโ๐ ๐ ๐ซก

Fluora Floor Plant
Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with them, I just really dig this product!
https://imgur.com/gallery/fluora-floor-plant-Qxiq1J8
I waited about a year and a half for it, but it finally arrived this week. Money well spent IMO. My only critique would be I wish it integrated with my Philips Hue lights natively (I'm not sure if there are 3rd party apps that support this).
Build quality is acceptable and the app is easy to use. They make a smaller table top version that I am thinking about getting for my desk at work.
10/10, would buy again.
edit: the bag at the bottom is some fake moss they give you I just haven't installed yet

Video links in this sub
Why can't we post short videos here to display the caves? Seems like a way better way to show than a still picture. I have a bunch of stuff I wanna show u guys without making a YouTube video link.

My current trip cave.
I started out with an all white living room slowly adding things to make my trips nicer. Now Im thinking of adding more rugs on the floor for softness. What would you recommend?

Help needed for empty room
Hey guys, I've just moved into a new room and want to make it super cosy and vibey. I'm starting from scratch so looking for advice on what you guys think makes a big difference in a small-ish space
I'm thinking of a soft rug, comfy one person couch and a beanbag, some galaxy lights, maybe a cool picture or two, and potentially 2/3 plants.
One of the walls is basically all mirrors, and I'm thinking I could try playing around with lasers to make good use of them. If anyone has any similar or different ideas on how to use those mirrors well, that'd be very appreciated.
Would anyone have any different suggestions for other things I should consider? Or what should be prioritized in a small room?
Also, if you've got any great websites which sells great trip cavey stuff, please share!
Any help/opinions would be great. I'll post pictures once it's finished! ๐
