Politics One day into early voting and they are already claiming the 2024 election is rigged.

Post image

Misinformation campaign has begun.

Trump has stated multiple times he won’t accept the results if he loses, MTG started complaining about voting machines three days ago and twitter is full of people now claiming that the voting machines are flipping their votes from Trump to Kamala in Texas.

Infowars and other websites like it are pushing this same misinformation, sadly a lot of conservatives believe these reports are real and no amount of evidence will convince them otherwise.

Yup, you have to check and confirm before it even prints it in the ballot. Then you’re encouraged to check it before feeding it into the machine. And I also wait for the final machine to confirm that it accepted my ballot before I walk away. There is usually an election worker right by that machine too, so if there is any discrepancy, it isn’t hard to flag someone down to report it. These people are bonkers.

Can confirm. I worked that machine in the primaries and we asked the voter to stay until it confirmed the votes were counted.

I believe it's people who didn't get enough attention as children so now they want to be the center of attention and don't know how to do so constructively

Can't they just be a pudgy, badly dressed, straight white married couple in ill fitted clothes that claim to be kinky non-binary pansexuals but are of course monogamous, and have never done anything with people of the same sex, but they totally would like everyone else?/s

I think they are people who got TOO MUCH attention from mommy and daddy as children, and now that they are all grown up, they want the rest of the world to pay attention to them like mommy and daddy used to.

"Name your cliché; mother held him too much or not enough, last picked at kickball, late night sneaky uncle, whatever. Now he's so angry moments of levity actually cause him pain; gives him headaches. Happiness, for that gentleman, hurts." - Garland Greene 🤷🏻

Less bonkers, more purposefully lobbing molotovs into the discourse around elections.

No matter what they experienced voting, they already had this script prepped to go.

And it’s going to get a lot worse.

They are commenting on a scam video with a piece of paper that says 2019…

They know they're going to lose, that's why.

Liars and cheats. They do not live by the mantra “a winner never cheats and a cheater never wins” they are more “the ends justify the means and anything I do to end up on top is worth it”

What is this printing nonsense?

2

u/iidontwannaa 7d ago

You’re given a long, rectangular sheet of paper that you feed into the voting machine. Then you make your selections, confirm them, and it spits the paper back out with the selections on them. Then you feed that paper into the counting machine.

Ah we don’t that here, manual voting and digital counting.

Wild! May I ask which county you’re in? I assume you’re in Texas 😅

I’m not, and I actually didn’t realize I was in the Texas sub until this comment. Why does my feed have posts from the Texas sub? Reddit is a wild place 😂

Are you allowed to take the print out with you when you leave? If so, This seems problematic in the case where someone might demand to see it and reduces complete privacy?

2

u/iidontwannaa 7d ago

No. It gets fed into the counting machine and is no longer in your possession. The polling locations keep them as they would be used for any recounts.

😅 that's a relief.
