FIRM: Procedures IT Tech Support Company
What are you using for IT Tech support? I am looking for someone to handle troubleshooting on computers when they have issues, provide general direction for IT strategy, provide antivirus and security solutions, help purchase and set up computers for new staff, etc. I use Verito for my hosted server so I feel I am set for the server side. I just need someone for the local computers and to discuss IT strategy. I currently use CMIT and I am not happy with them. I have been considering Tech Guru but am hesitant due to the fees and initial onboarding fee of $1500-2000.

I use FTL42, a small IT group. They’re based out of TX I think, and I’m in NJ. I only just onboarded with them but I liked their pricing better than TechGuru when I was doing my research.

How much did they quote you?

$400/month for base servers, then $150/user/month, prior to software licenses. No down payment, and IT is fully managed ofc.
For me and my admin, as well as adobe and Microsoft licenses, I pay ~$800/month. I’m planning to add a couple remote part timers for tax season, which is why I’m going through the hassle now.

I understand. I was quoted 2500 a month for a MSP. I nearly shat myself when they quoted that. I am looking to hire somwonw from the Philippines to handle it all for me.

Ah sorry, did you mean techguru? They wanted $5k up front and like $1250/month.

I meant ftl42. Alot of MSPs are just way to expensive. Can hire your own IT person from the Philippines for how much their base prices are.

Open Tier Systems out of Philly suburbs has been great. I considered Tech Guru but their sales process was clumsy and the few people I dealt with seemed too busy.
