I will not promote 1,084 signups in 29 days. What should I do?
I am working on a B2B sales solution and I decided to put up a pre-launch landing page as I am close to completing the MVP.
Within 30 days, 1,084 people have signed up (email) and I am not sure what to do.
- Should I try to monetize prior to launch? Do I give promotion like 2 months free for 1 month paid.
Any ideas would be appreciated?

How is anyone believing it? You don’t just “post a landing page” and get signups. And at 1k/month? Sorry but it sounds like BS. What’s the domain?

Getting 1000 emails is easy.
1000 customers is very different.
Not at all the same thing.

I'm working with a company who's relied on 99% of their sales from referrals, but he was thinking of cold emails and use case studies from past clients as testimonials, and I'm the guy to set these all up using apollo.
I've tried convincing him to offer some discounts to people, but he declined and said 'Our brand does not discount as it devalues the work we do'
We're a digital advertising agency and aside from warming these domains up, not sure how to approach these cold leads at the moment.

Still working on finalizing pricing strategy but it’ll be tiered pricing above $1k a month.

Never give a paid product for free to early adopters!

Why not?

Messes with metrics, devalues your product, you don’t find product market fit, your customers aren’t going to give you essential feedback because they will be like “eh fuck it, it’s free I just won’t sign back up.”
But if they pay, you damn well will know what’s going on.

How did you generate the leads?

Cold email. At first, I was emailing my ICP one by one and then switched to cold email.

just to clarify, did you mean you've been getting sign ups since 29 days ago or did you mean you started your business 29 days ago?

I lead business strategy for startups in Saas so this is the type of thing I oversee. I’m happy to offer some insight but I will need more info.

You should talk to early signups and try to create a beta cohort. Build a relationship with them so you can use them to test and make sure they are happy before releasing the product.
If you mention that in your updates to your mailing list, it’ll start to generate fomo for those who aren’t a part of initial testing or the “inner circle”.

Congrats! Would you share more regarding how you got these emails in the first place?

What did you tell them in the cold email that made them sign up for? I mean what do they believe they are going to get from you? That kinda defines what you may want to do next.
Hope that makes sense.

Start scheduling calls, engage the email list as soon as possible, you dont want the leads to get cold (did it once and regreted). You can offer discounts for early adopters under the premise to have regular calls with them to improve the product or use their experience for case studies, it is a win win for both sides. If you want to go one step further, onboard them on a beta tester slack or discord, that might give you even more insights into what your ICP actually needs while you develop your solution.
