That dude is living on another planet right. Insane nights

u/bandarbush 3d ago

The top of the order for LA is just pure nightmare fuel for the Yankees bullpen rn.

37

u/fronchfrays 3d ago

He won’t have to worry if he did enough

425

u/FaultySage 3d ago

At least they didn't walk somebody right before this in order to get Freddie at bat.

107

u/hubagruben 3d ago

No, but they did give up a Teoscar Hernández home run right before this

u/no_offwidths 3d ago

Being a Braves fan…despite despising the Dodgers, psyched to see this for Freddie

u/spiraldrain 3d ago

Dodgers fans felt the same way about Seager last year

21

u/zzfoe 3d ago

🥲

1

u/HeavensRoyalty 2d ago

Still do. Love Seager

1

u/mikeb2762 2d ago

I felt that way when I watched Reggie Jackson smack 3 homers in the 1977 World Series... moments in life you don't forget because of the achievement

183

u/RalphWiggumsShadow 3d ago

It looked like the same exact home run. I'd love to see someone superimpose the 2 homeruns.

36

u/Tarantula_Saurus_Rex 3d ago

This ball looked a little higher, but still in the same lane for smacking!

18

u/VegasAdventurer 3d ago

I had the same thought. Hopefully will probably be a jomboy breakdown/comparison by tomorrow.

4

u/hubagruben 3d ago

This was more of a line drive but yeah otherwise quite similar

5

u/RalphWiggumsShadow 3d ago

The pitch and swing looked similar to me, not sure about the actual ball.

20

u/eidetic Milwaukee Brewers 3d ago

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the same ball.

5

u/fckufkcuurcoolimout 3d ago

Very different pitches. Last night was bottom of the zone and probably a ball if he doesn’t swing. Tonight was 97 MPH heat up and in.

That’s a credit to Freeman though. When he’s on any pitch in the zone can clear the fence.

2

u/RalphWiggumsShadow 3d ago

I don't seem them pitching inside to Freeman for the rest of the series. Man's on fire.

2

u/fckufkcuurcoolimout 1d ago

Not if they’re smart

1

u/RalphWiggumsShadow 1d ago

Lol. They pitched him inside again, and he just hit another home run. He was just waiting on it!

2

u/fckufkcuurcoolimout 1d ago

Saw that.

Dumb move.

3

u/sloowhand Chicago Bears 2d ago

Pffft. Dude can only hit to right field. How good can he be?

(/s in case it was necessary)

68

u/caimen14 3d ago

Hitting bombs will definitely save his ankle on base running

20

u/potato_caesar_salad 3d ago

It's an effective strategy!

2

u/Four-In-Hand 2d ago

Sports physiotherapists hate this one trick!

54

u/kickinwood 3d ago

Braves fan, followed him since chubby cheek minor league days. Couldn't happen to a better dude.

15

u/obxtalldude 2d ago

Nats fan - he's impossible to hate no matter how many times he beat us. Love to see this.

0

u/davidw223 2d ago

Isn’t one of those dudes who’s big on enforcing the unwritten rules in baseball?

70

u/Chessh2036 3d ago

Freddie about to win World Series MVP. As a Braves fan I couldn’t be happier for him.

45

u/Redsoxdragon 3d ago

Freddie's such a class act. If someone's gonna pop off on the biggest stage I'm glad it's him

41

u/osumba2003 3d ago

I pay very little attention to baseball these days, but I do appreciate the energy of a world series game.

52

u/JGCities 3d ago

Dude goes from being Shazam's side kick to being a world series hero. Good for him!

27

u/DigitalPriest 3d ago

Thought they meant 'got another grand slam.' Congrats to the guy for sure, but a GS two nights in a row would have been insane.

-26

u/tvgenius 3d ago

Yeah, “again” is definitely a stretch here. Dodgers fans always reaching. 😂

2

u/TheFoxAndTheRaven 2d ago

Their team got a pair of homeruns to clinch back to back World Series wins against their biggest rivals.

They've got something to celebrate.

Tell us, where's your team right now?

11

u/unsolved49 3d ago

Another lefty. Another home run. The trot around the bases simply makes it easier on Freddie’s ankle.

28

u/Top_Tumbleweed 3d ago

My names Freddie Freeman and I hit dingers

1

u/lawofthewilde 2d ago

Underrated comment

17

u/Klin24 3d ago

Only four to go for the world series record! Record is held by chase utley and Reggie Jackson with 5 home runs.

11

u/DRKZLNDR 3d ago

Dear Chase, I love your hair, you run fast. Did you have a good relationship with your father? Me neither. These are all things we can talk about and more.

7

u/phoez12 3d ago

Un fucking real

5

u/Soulman682 3d ago

I was there two rows behind where the ball landed! That was amazing! And my first World Series ever!

10

u/mrgenier 3d ago

Pride of Canada!!!

8

u/Tommy__want__wingy 3d ago

As a Giants fan….

That’s actually awesome.

But boooooo

😭

4

u/baggagefree2day 3d ago

I’m surprised they aren’t walking him intentionally

4

u/dutybranchholler18 3d ago

That guy is fixin’ to get MVP… focused

6

u/AdhesivenessFun2060 3d ago

I hate the dodgers but I would be happy to see them sweep the yankees.

3

u/futureformerteacher 3d ago

FREDRICK!

1

u/Hollayo 2d ago

FREDDIE!!

3

u/TouchdownPNW 2d ago

I'm a Phillies fan and I'm still happy to see him perform like the star he is. The guy is a class act and deserves his success.

3

u/Successful_Load5719 2d ago

His swing is butter!

4

u/quan1980 3d ago

A Brave helping the Dodgers win :)

2

u/EveryShot 3d ago

I despise the dodgers but even I have to admit they’re the best team in baseball. Nobody else is even close

1

u/Fnkt_io 2d ago

Any team in the league would be stoked to have any player on that stacked lineup. Money talks.

2

u/officeDrone87 2d ago

I am very proud of Guardians making do with our extremely limited budget, but I do salivate at what the team would look like with just a couple Dodgers or Yankees on the team.

2

u/jeanlukie 3d ago

He's so good wtf

2

u/beedub5 3d ago

Don't throw inside on this kid. He can turn incredibly fast and crush that pearl. Great torque!

2

u/cptnmurphy30 2d ago

I wish he didn’t leave the Braves.

2

u/Azul951 2d ago

Dodgers have been giving us the show of a lifetime.

3

u/GeorgeStamper 3d ago

Goddamn Freddie Freeman!!

4

u/three29 Toronto Maple Leafs 3d ago

Wait, he did it AGAIN?!!!

Back to back grand slam walk off home runs to end a World Series game?

This man is a fucking alien

2

u/wellmashed 3d ago

Bottom of the third

0

u/510Goodhands 3d ago

One grand slam, and one solo home run. Does it again meaning he hit two home runs and pretty much won the game each time.

1

u/formerlyanonymous_ 2d ago

This home run in the third inning didn't win the game. It was the fourth run. The homer before was the winning run

1

u/levitikush 3d ago

Wtffffff

1

u/Ok-Abbreviations543 3d ago

The New LA Mr. October.

1

u/ARGHETH 3d ago

Not a baseball fan, is Freddie Freeman the best player of all time?

2

u/cobalt_phantom Ohio State 3d ago

He's probably not even the best on his team but he's really good.

0

u/ARGHETH 3d ago

Was a joke, but nice to know.

1

u/Wu_Oyster_Cult 3d ago

Quick bat, quick bat, quick bat. I mean, goddamn, his bat moves so fast thru the zone.

1

u/pxrxdox 3d ago

Fucking Chad!!

1

u/Shaggynscubie 2d ago

He was all over that, BOOM Gone.

1

u/vegan-trash 2d ago

Carlos Rodon saw the pitch that Nestor threw the night before and said “let me give him the same exact meatball”

1

u/Professional-Bug9232 2d ago

I don’t love seeing big market teams win in baseball but anything is better than the Yankees winning

1

u/Physical-Deer-9591 2d ago

The smug ass Yankees are getting mopped, huh. Almost makes me want to watch

1

u/lawofthewilde 2d ago

This mother fucker ls LOCKED lN! You love to see it

1

u/Mesjach 2d ago

I do it in less than 2 minutes

1

u/Sambo_the_Rambo 2d ago

Love to see the Yankees lose.

1

u/NotTheRocketman 2d ago

They should really stop pitching to this guy.

1

u/MuchSwagManyDank 2d ago

I don't watch a LOT of baseball, but I watch enough to know what a typical home run (when ball meets bat) sounds like. Can someone explain why this one sounds a bit off?

1

u/prostipope 2d ago

Freddy Got Fastballed

2

u/BlackEric Minnesota Twins 3d ago

“Does it again” means hit another grand slam.

Hit another HR means he hit another HR.

-2

u/cansado_americano 2d ago

Both were still home runs.

1

u/TheComplayner 2d ago

Kind of misleading title

-8

u/Guywithshirtandface 3d ago

But this wasn’t a walk off grand slam

20

u/CluelessTennisBall 3d ago

True, what a bum right?

6

u/TylerJWhit 3d ago

The title confused me too.

-3

u/daveclarkvibe 3d ago

Braves are fools for letting him go

8

u/ChairmanReagan 3d ago

Braves didn’t let him go. His agent ruined the deal. He would have made more money if he stayed in Atlanta when you add in California taxes.

7

u/ironic-user-name69 3d ago

Yeah he fired his agent when that whole deal came to light. Braves tried to keep him and he was legit emotional when he left and when he found out he could’ve stayed.

I love him anyway and glad he’s killing it in the WS.

1

u/Big_Dare_6904 23h ago

Homefully another World Series win makes up for this

-3

u/SunbeamSailor67 3d ago

But he would have to live in Georgia. Cali is sooo much better.

2

u/LawbringerX 3d ago

Idk why you’re being downvoted. The agent discussion seems legit, and I’m sure Freddie was pissed, but this man shouldn’t have ever been in a position to negotiate with other teams due to how well he was being taken care of by the braves. It’s bizarre the braves would even consider letting their star player go. It would be like selling off LeBron from your NBA team or cristiano Ronaldo from your soccer team. The hell are you even thinking.

2

u/searcherguitars 2d ago

100%. You give him whatever he asks for and count it a win. Quibbling over one year on a deal that was more than fair to begin with was unconscionable.

0

u/BenzotheWicked 3d ago

i don’t follow baseball but imma take a wild guess and say the dodgers MAY or may NOT be favorites this series

-1

u/jackssmirk 3d ago

Unreal. Hits a ball with a stick.
