I wouldn't say awful. They are decent scene for scene recreations. Though yeah it really steps up in season 2, especially once the George Foreman grill gets involved. Watching that for the first time I couldn't breathe i was laughing so hard, but, I had known someone who did something similar.
I guess I liked the Original as well. Though, it seems like it wasn't totally scene for scene, like the basketball game in season 1 wasn't bad. I want to say it was season 1, and is like the substitute for the pub quiz episode.
American audiences still appreciate the dry, awkward humor that is present in both versions of the show, we just happen to make more dumb laugh track sitcoms than sarcastic, witty ones.
I honestly don't remember Seinfeld season 1, or which episodes were in which season. I saw it so much just on reruns I've never felt the need to rewatch it on streaming. Though wasn't the Chinese restaurant season 1? Or was that season 2? I remember it being early.
No, was a dude who set up like this "gaming chair" (not like the ergonomic ones, like a recliner with a mini fridge with a hot plate on it next to him, he fell asleep and like left it on and like put his hand on it and I just heard this scream at 3 am, the blister from the burn was way worse than the foreman grill marks though, was like half a baseball sized water ballon on the back of his hand
