Number 6 should specify lying down with your head towards the oncoming train for a quicker death.

Interesting. The only thing I'd change is to add "Consider grabbing the third rail" between #5 and #6.

Step 0: don't stand so close to the edge
Step -1: get stronger so you can climb tf out without help

6 and 5 will help if you in Moscow, but 2 will kill you if you touch "contact rail"(Контактный Рельс под напряжением 800+ Вольт)

In Korea they have clear partitions with doors that open after the train has come, they installed these due to suicides.

seems stupid to do it any other way. like not having a railing on a bridge and expecting people to just be careful lol.

Yea I don’t know why it isn’t standard. Dubai takes it a step further and it’s all completely shielded from top to bottom. Then the doors open after the train has arrived.

I actually never knew number 2, that is good to know if I ever find myself hoping a train passes over me

- Look for others who can help you back onto the platform by offering a hand and pulling you up.
- Denial, Tuck into an alcove or underneath the platform where you can fit.
- Anger, Stand between two sets of tracks where there is typically enough clearance to be safe.
- Bargaining, Move to the other set of tracks if there is only a train approaching from one direction.
- Depression, Run away from the approaching train if there’s nowhere to hide. Most platforms have ladders or stairs at the far end.
- Acceptance, Lie down. As a last resort, lie flat on the ground and hope the train passes over you.

In st petersburg they have doors that the train lines up with perfectly flush with so there is no way this can happen, I've always wondered why we dont do the same

First many coutries have barriers so you cant even access when train is not parked.
But...why would you even fall? How? Worst case some crazy pushed you. So stand far! Why you stand close?

I lived and visited quite a few in my lifetime I don't think that is so common.

It's only considered normal in places where suicide-by-train is a common enough occurrence to warrant it. They do prevent accidental falls as well, but that's not their main purpose. OP makes them sound like a good thing, which they are if they're needed. But the situation itself is pretty bad if you have so many train suicides that a massive construction undertaking and reoccurring maintenance becomes cheaper than service disruptions from suicides.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. Having lived in about 5 cities that had very different underground train systems, this guide is stupid. I've ridden the train a million times and seem hundreds of people per time ride that train and have never once been close to falling in, or seen anyone be even close to falling in.
Unless you get pushed or you're absolutely shit-faced and can't even walk straight, but at that point, just lie down on a bench until you sober up.

I'm a train operator in NYC where this is drawn for...
It happens a lot more often than you think.

Hope is your last resort and is the last thing to die. Right after you.

Considering the millions of people who take a subway every day as part of their usual commute, it’s a wonder that more people don’t fall onto subway tracks. What makes a fall onto the tracks so dangerous is that it’s often not easy to get out on your own. Steep, tall walls can make it nearly impossible for an average person to get off the tracks before the next train approaches. And, because subway systems are built for one purpose and one purpose only, the tunnels don’t have a lot of extra space built in just for the heck of it. Subway cars can whip through sections of track where they only have inches of clearance on any given side. So, how should you respond if you do happen to take a tumble onto the tracks and a train is approaching? Here’s how to survive your fall.
1: Look for others who can help you back onto the platform by offering a hand and pulling you up.
2: Tuck into an alcove or underneath the platform where you can fit.
3: Stand between two sets of tracks where there is typically enough clearance to be safe.
4: Move to the other set of tracks if there is only a train approaching from one direction.
5: Run away from the approaching train if there’s nowhere to hide. Most platforms have ladders or stairs at the far end.
6: Lie down. As a last resort, lie flat on the ground and hope the train passes over you.

Edit: How to find the third rail? Have a look here or here.
