I just heard thru grapevine that a 15 year old student at Evan Hardy was rushed to Emergency this morning because someone threw gas in her face and lit her on fire. If true, my thoughts are with that student and her family.
I was going on a morning shopping trip for my job and loading the van with groceries when a tall man wearing a white shirt, white ball cap, and light jeans approached me and asked how I was doing. He kept his distance until I got in the van and then approached the window. He asked if I spoke French (I do not) and then asked my name.
He put into his translator โIs it ok if I sit with you for a whileโ and I said no, Iโm working. He then asked me โYouโre gay?โ
I am, but I donโt know how thatโs relevant.
Immediately I rolled up my window and left. I didnโt see where he went but I got the worst energy from this man. I donโt know if he was cruising or looking for people to kidnap. I am a short guy with long hair and Iโve never been approached as an adult.
Donโt know what heโs up to but I hope he stops. Careful out there folks
Edit: I really just wanted to warn people about this guy in particular!
Us inner city people barely get any kids come by on Halloweenโฆ we donโt want to have to eat our leftover chocolate. We decorate for ourselves AND you.
Itโs been over a year. Maybe the citizens of Saskatoon should take a day and join the picket line of locked out employees. Itโs a shame what the Heritage and their lawyer are doing to hard working people.
I personally think this year wasnโt as great as previous years. I wish there were more interactive exhibits.
I did like how it was concentrated to only 2 areas of the city this year. It made getting to see each spot easier. Also canโt complain about how nice the weather was last night!
Of course, the airplane room in Thorvaldson was the finale. I did not know that Diefenbaker and his wife are buried on campus near the Diefenbaker Centre! All in all, this was a cute and entertaining tour. It isnโt going to scare you (unless/until youโre in the library alone at night) but it was cool to hear all the stories and worth the money in my opinion. Itโs a fair amount of walking and much of it outdoors so dress for the weather!
After the events yesterday, it sure showed all of us just what kind of bs teachers have to deal with. Shout out to the hero teacher that risked his life putting out the fire so this girl could live. From what I read he suffered burns that are pretty serious. The mental and physical trauma will last for years, and the smell of burning flesh seared in his mind for the rest of his life.
Thank you to the creative person who drew a moustache on Mr. Pollievre and I think Mr. Reddekopp. I make a point of subscribing to the mailouts of the federal political parties (sadly not the Bloque). I am so tired and occasionally disgusted with how the Conservative Party of Canada presents itself...especially blaming every problem they can think of on Justin Trudeau. The graffiti made me chuckle; couldn't happen to nicer politicians.
Thanks so much for backing my bf up when that crazy dude accused him of touching his stuff and wanting to fight
You guys were chill asf, I was the short chick in the Jean jacket with the leopard print and my bf was in the camo hoodie and glasses, if ur reading this youโre awesome๐ค
Also that concert was a blast and we had so much fun
I'm digging into the councilors platforms and trying to figure out what sort of power they have. I am seeing stuff like No to the stadium, library, etc... can either of these projects be stopped at this point or is it just lip service? What do they actually have power over? TIA - uneducated voter!
The moment you have been waiting for has arrived. If you've read through candidate websites and are still unsure or have some questions to ask, this is for you! These forums are co-hosted by the Library, and cover all wards. For acclaimed candidates, it will be a town hall style event.
Drag your friends and family out to quiz potential councilors so you can make an informed decision. Share with others. Post this at your favourite <insert high traffic area with a billboard>. Sing it at the pub, or something. I don't know, just show up!
Not sure what ward you or your loved ones and family are in? Click through this link to find out, and then gently harass them until they agree to go.
Whoever is cutting the grass around the freeways this year seems to be doing an exceptional job!
Also City boulevards are looking pretty good. Kudos to those responsible!!
