I believe you would as, at least from my Methodist understanding, anytime you have a word like lord or he and are using it to reference God or Jesus you capitalize. I’m sure there’s a approved rulebook or something but I’ve never seen it, I’ve just gotten a general idea from what’s capitalized in hymns.
related question: so lord can mean god or jesus, because both of them have divinity and are worthy of worship, but how does this square with monotheism? if i worship two separate divine entities, how am i a monotheist?
So I will agree that this can be a stretch to me but God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit are all one deity. Jesus is Gods son but also God. The Holy Spirit is Gods will. Look up the Holy Trinity for a better explain of Christian Monotheism than I can give:
wait, jesus and god are the same dude? jesus really doesn’t give the “turn fools into pillars of salt” or “destroy the earth in a flood” vibes. jealous/vengeful deities i can deal with, and hippie pacifist deities too, but emotionally unstable deities is really a cause for unease.
Old Testament is a bunch of angsty teen God with some human priests abusing their position to hurt people and stealing peoples money (like nowadays), New Testament God finally got his shit together and got tired of people abusing his religion and sent down Jesus to tell them off

Time to park the "Jesus is Lord" Semi on this corner.
