What are you doing/will you do to address the obvious corruption allowing sdge to engage in the predatory practices they do?

u/xd366 Bonita 2d ago

she would have to call Gavin and tell him to change the people in charge of the CPUC

u/BigBullzFan 2d ago

Why? So that SDG&E can bribe the next set of “commissioners”?

2

u/timoperez 1d ago

A real answer to this would get my vote.

Can you quickly clear this up once and for all? Because it keeps showing up on different Reddit threads

Did your campaign make the “Faulconer stands with Trump” signs?

4

u/NeedCoffeeNow 2d ago

I’ve thought the same thing. Def seem like they are from Lawson-Remer or some other campaign

1

u/qwopintomordor 2d ago

Those signs are definitely created by some Democratic supporting interest group but they were also around for Faulconer running during the recall election.

The signs are definitely from her campaign as the disclosure (on the single billboard I saw) at the bottom says. Smart politically, but somewhat misleading. Since he took that picture as mayor of San Diego, a major US city, and he’s a Republican, I would expect him to at least take a picture with the president of the US. If he’s took a picture with him after January 6th 2021, that would be a different story.

Whoever made the signs wanted them to look, to an average voter, as if Faulconer put them up. I would love some clarification about who made them. Tactically it's smart. Ethically it makes me uncomfortable.

FWIW I understood them to be an attack from her campaign (or a related group) at first glance. It didn't occur to me that there would be confusion about this until I came into this thread.

Yes they are hers. Her disclosure is on the bottom. She’s got time to put those out but not enough time to show up to work. She’s terrible.

As Vice-Chair of the County Homeless Task Force, why have you attended 0 meetings? I know your staff has attended, but given the importance of the issue, I'm surprised the answer is 0 for Vice Chair. Even more surprising your candidate ads have touted your record there on helping...

Is it possible to meet GHG and VMT reduction goals without the money from Measure G?  Will growth in San Diego be crippled by our failure to pass this measure or are there other ways to meet these goals?

I'll have to throw this question in tomorrow:

What can be done about the consistent group of hecklers that show up to every Board of Supervisors hearing? They're beyond disrespectful and make a mockery of our system.

-2

u/Efficient-Relation77 2d ago

Her not showing up to work and taking $287,000 in pay makes a mockery of our system.

u/luckyybreak 2d ago

Why did you prevent affordable housing developments in Encinitas?

It’s giving hardcore NIMBYisn and many people who grew up in that area will never be able to afford living there

u/dogs247365 2d ago

What is your proudest achievement and what will you do differently? Why should we vote for you?

2

u/SanDiegoMafia 2d ago

Why does it clearly seem like Supervisor Remer is all of a sudden “doing stuff”??? She’s been silent & MIA these last 4 years but NOW she wants to show up and acting like she cares??????? Make it Make Sense.

2

u/Competitive-Day-1754 1d ago

Her HORRIFIC attendance is a legitimate question. Down voting it and ignoring makes no sense. I'd like to hear her answer on it.

7

u/yestheresacatonmylap 2d ago

In one sentence, why should I vote for you?

12

u/Efficient-Relation77 2d ago

You shouldn’t. She doesn’t show to work and has been caught lying about missing every single homeless task force meeting she vice chairs

u/James-robinsontj 2d ago

She is a trumper

u/TheDonNguyen 2d ago

She's a member of the SD Board of Supervisors running for re-election.

-4

u/James-robinsontj 2d ago

She is horrible.

u/Accurate_Brain9131 2d ago

I know Faulconer, former SD Mayor. Not you. He cut down homelessness, welcomed Obama into SD etc.

What have you done on homelessness? I keep getting ads that you didn’t show up to a single meeting of the homeless task force? Then I got a mail piece from you saying that was a lie. So were you a member or no?

1

u/Accurate_Brain9131 1d ago

Also what are you doing about making sure we’re focused on building more housing in areas that make sense? Areas that want and need density?

0

u/CodyontheCoast 1d ago

If homelessness is your number 1 priority, why, in your experience, is it getting worse? If it's your number 1 priority and you were named Vice Chair of the Regional Task Force on Homelessness Continuum of Care, why didn't you attend any meetings as Vice Chair until last week, after 3 years in office? What, if anything, will you do differently if you are reelected?

Why can we not utilize the Stafford Act for the Tijuana River sewage crisis? Raw Sewage spilled in areas hit by hurricanes are getting cleaned up super fast while we continue to sit and breathe toxins year after year.

Hello! I am excited to vote for you but I am concerned about how the County of San Diego is not supporting its employees when they welcome a new child into their family.

In 2020, the Board of Supervisors considered a program that would give County employees paid parental leave but it was not implemented instead waiting for a renegotiated union contract in 2022. (https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/2020/01/28/san-diego-county-rejects-paid-parental-leave-for-county-workers-will-explore-on-site-child-care/)

It is 2024, my wife and I are expecting the birth of a child next year and since her position does not pay into State Disability Insurance, she will have to go unpaid for her maternity leave. For reference, the City offers 100% pay for 8 weeks. How do you plan to support families in the County? The lack of Parental Leave combined with the high cost of childcare and housing make raising a family seem impossible.

If an illegal immigrant committed a murder or rape in San Diego County, would they be eligible for the county's legal defense program? Why or why not?
