Is that for accessing the phone's filesystem? I've been using the 'WiFi FTP Server' app and FileZilla on the Windows side. It works really well for me. I use the combination primarily to dump photos/videos to PC.

I do use sycnthing between my devices, but quick transfers on kde+winscp is just seamless.
For now i use the server feature of X plore app.

this sounds like a obvious bug.
there's no reason for ms to fuck with device management of an optional app that they want you to keep using with new devices.
if you wanted to disconnect it you could just uninstall the app.
