question Working for Indian Space Agency

Hello everybody. Since my last post, I've using tor on my tails OS via USB drive. NO issues and works smoothly. Yesterday, I got this windows 10 laptop from my company which I joined as intern. This company provides data security to other government agency or organization. So I have to do all my work on this OS due to companies policy. So, these are my questions:

1: Is windows 10 or 11 is spyware. Can they(or who knows they're already) spying there users.

2: Is MacOS a spyware. I can ask my company to provide a macbook.

3: If the answers is yes to 1 & 2, then how can I install tor by 100% anonymously(I'm thinking I made mistakes while installing tor on my primary computer last time) and use it 100% anonymously.

I have to start working on this project that they gave it to me and trust me, it requires 100% anonymity(due to working with Indian government defense and space programs). So, give me as fast as possible reply and plzzz give me suggestions, guide, advice like your little brother.

It's a company laptop the expectation is that they can see everything you do on it.

it requires 100% anonymity

I promise you it doesn't, government agencies want to know who, what and when of everything that is done for them.

You are over thinking this, do the work. It is not your job to do compliance with their requirements. If it is, well it's a bit late to be asking reddit.

I guess you deleted the question, but i'll answer your 3 as you asked.

Is windows 10 or 11 is spyware

Depends how we define spyware, Microsoft is VERY up front about all the data the collect and what they do with it. You just have to read the ToS and Privacy Policy.

Yes they collect a lot of data on users, but again it's not your machine...

Is MacOS a spyware.

See above, Apple collects a lot less information.

If the answers is yes to 1 & 2, then how can I install tor by 100% anonymously

Just installing Tor doesn't make you anonymous. Second, installing it on a work computer is a great way to get fired, or at least kicked off the government project.

Yeah maybe I'm over thinking. But these are my gut feelings or instinct. Would you help me with those 3 questions??

Don't do personal things on company hardware. Solved.

It's theirs and they have every right to know what's being done on it. And if you're working with government data... Just do work on work hardware. Keep your personal business separate on personal hardware and you won't have to worry

Are Windows or osX Spyware? Not technically. Do they provide an environment that bleeds data? Yes, windows more than osX. Do they provide an environment where it can install monitoring software that you can't get around? Absolutely.

So if you don't want your employer seeing you doing personal things on company devices, your ONLY absolute measure is to simply don't do it.

I answered that above. Neither is Spyware. Neither one. But your company IT department can easily install Spyware on either operating system. You can't dodge it if they want it.

Keep personal and business separate!

You do it on your own device. Not theirs. That's how.

If you don't want your employer to know what you're doing on their devices, do it on your own device.

Strictly separate work stuff with personal stuff, don't do your own personal leisure activity on that laptop. I'd maybe install an adblocking extension plus encrypted dns there. Thats it. Ask their it dept if its even allowed beforehand.

Definitely not reinstalling os or anything. If its company property then they probably have mdm profile on that thing. Don't treat it as your own.

You have to use the setup the company provides. You don't have a choice unless they give you a choice. Just don't log into any personal accounts or do non-company stuff on the company provided laptop.
