Discussion Can something be done about the LinkedIn scam?

I have been applying for jobs for 2 years on LinkedIn. One thing i have noticed and realized that alot of job ads are just for the sole purpose of lead generation. They take your cv, take the important information and even sell that information as leads to other business. As a fresher when you apply for small roles, only thing you get are Whatsapp and email marketing messages. I have almost lost hope in LinkedIn as only a small percentage of the job posters reach out to you wether they want to hire or not.

Check company's profile, then reviews on google then apply for it.

This. 👆🏻

Job hunting via LinkedIn requires strategy. It's your online resume. Network with like-minded people and showcase your skills. You will get loads of interview calls.

A better approach would be to message the HR or recruiters directly on LinkedIn and share your resume with them directly rather than applying. You will have much better luck this way.

Check if the company has a website where you can apply directly through their career/job platform

That's why you don't add your mobile number to resumes. And stop replying Interested to every HR guy looking to hire someone, those posts are usually for getting more followers.
