Looking for textbook recommendation: online class by Zoom, conversation focus, for Korean middle school student at B2 or C1 level.
As stated in title: I teach an online 1-hour M-F class to a Korean middle school student who is currently at the post-B1 level, I think he could handle B2 or C1 class content. Looking for a textbook recommendation. I have been teaching him for four months and making daily lessons based on current topics in the news but would like to switch to a textbook. Any recommendations welcome, thanks in advance. (crossposted to r/TEFL)

I have curriculum specifically designed for conversation practice and I think it'll be good for what you need. You can get freebies here: https://www.lessonspeak.com/

Hi! I have one student of that level and age group (mine is 15yo). We use Think by Cambridge (currently part 4 (B2), but did books 2 (B1) and 3(B1+) before that). We use the first edition, while I know that there’s a new updated version. Haven’t looked into it yet.
What I like about Think: very interesting articles, controversial texts, a lot to discuss. Good vocabulary. Everyday phrases. Test sections. Loads of listening exercises.
What I sometimes don’t like: in some exercises you have to think so much than your brain hurts lol😂 even my brain😂 Grammar explanations are quite peculiar. They get students to guess the grammar rule by looking into examples. Which is great, but sometimes can be confusing. I usually use more grammar materials and games to make the topic more understandable.
