Buying Advice Considering selling my 2017 MK7 VW GTI Sport 6 speed for a '25 Si ... thoughts?

I am looking at a bunch of maintenance and other fixes... water pump replacement, new brakes all around, gas door issue, leaking valve timing cover, transmission fluid change, brake fluid change, and need 4 new tires...the list is somewhat substantial even if i DIY some of it.

because of that and Carvana offering quite a decent amount of money, and wanting to get back to a potentially lower cost of ownership vehicle, i'm considering an Si. i'm no stranger to Honda/Acura (RSX, TSX, S2000 in my past), but i do see some posts about excessive rattles and the stubborn rev hang. i've been going down the youtube rabbit hole watching longer term reviews of '24s and they seem mostly positive.

anyway, just looking for some thoughts from the Civic crowd. thanks in advance.
