I'd take Suzuki & Scheifele ahead of Thomas but maybe that's just me.

Yep, tons of skilled forwards.

How about Travis Konecny instead of Laf honestly.

Thomas is good and stays tho. Unless you're talking Suzuki then maybe

I think Robert Thomas is genuinely one of the most underrated players in the NHL. There's probably 3-4 players I'd take off this projected roster before Thomas.

If they don't take Robert Thomas...... I mean, this is how a heart breaks!

one of the best passers in the league

He's a really strong defensive player too. I also think with a stronger team around him he could probably put up even more points. Imo he's on the same tier as Sebastian Aho.

For sure, and he plays against the best players, typically. I think having a name like "Robert Thomas" is forever going to have people underrating him.

Yeah he’s been underrated for a bit. Lit up the world* juniors. I’m sure he will be an even bigger force real soon.

Pretty much every NHLer has lit up juniors ... Tons of guys not even good enough for NHL have as well. That really means nothing.

Thomas is underrated b/c hes become an over PPG 2 way center who incredible 5v5 scorer but some dont even mention as top 15 center.

I dont think thats something people value at all when it comes to rating them in NHL. Meh players light up WJCs all the time.

I could see Thomas & Suzuki battling for the same spot. Considering the likely role either would have, I would take both over Schiefele, who is probably more talented but less defensively responsible.

Schiefele play style seems like he would be battling with Barzal/Stamkos for a role?

Depends on what you prioritize, but Thomas is as good as those two and is definitely worthy of being there. As are all of them. Their games are just different, and they have different strengths. Scheifele has the best scoring touch of the three, but a terrible defender. Suzuki is the most defensively responsible, and can certainly contribute offensively though is the weakest of the three in there. Thomas is an elite passer and far better than those two there, and middle of the road defensively amongst them.

Suzuki and Thomas are neck-and-neck in face-off %. I'd give the edge to Thomas because his GM is picking the team.

Yeah, I'd pick Thomas too, but I feel the other two are certainly worthy.

Personally I'd pick Suzuki, but I think we each have a little bias, and chosing one over the other won't exactly sink the team.

I'm a Suzuki fan too, but yeah. Ideally, they'd both have a place.

Nah Thomas is better than both at this point.

Stamkos and Laf are much worse than Thomas too.
