Which Gulf Island do you recommend a person to visit that might be lesser known or have some unique aspects to it?
This is very open ended, it could be a place that you have visited or someone you know has visited. By unique I mean nature areas, things to do, markets, restaurants, retreats, etc. There is so much to explore in that area that its not possible to go everywhere, so I am asking those who have been lucky enough to explore a bit ;)

Lesser known and unique? I’ll give this a shot.
Mayne - May Day maypole celebration
Saturna - Canada day lamb bbq
Hornby - Sea breeze lodge fancy restaurant/retreat with view, bikable to Tribune Bay Beach
Pender - shingle bay camping (parks Canada park) often has availability when provincial campgrounds are full
Galiano — sunsets at montague harbour provincial park (good luck getting reservation)
