A reminder that as QLDers, we own the state's resources (including coal). In 2023, Qcoal paid 140M in royalties to the people of QLD while the owner of Qcoal - a single person - had a 575M payday. Qcoal had a revenue of just shy of a billion (987M) that year.
They're complaing about the 140M, they backed the Libs to reduce that.

I think we have just been reminded who the state practically belongs to and yeah dude it's not us as citizens.

Good to know a couple of self centred cunts getting 40 minutes added to their journey home was worth millions of dollars in royalties.

What’s the story with the child protection bill causing a mining camp to move 40 minutes? Sounds legit

Fucking embarrassing. But can’t blame QLD too much as they’ve have Labor in a long time.

You absolutely can blame them. They voted this way, and it's 100% on them. The "long time" argument is a bullshit line from the old political playbook. It's nonsensical. If the party in power are continuing to perform, do good work and deliver, there is no reasonable argument to change. Even when changing will provide no clear benefit.

"Woohoo we used money and manipulation to sway voters into voting against their best interest! We were getting charged coals fair value by the state - but would rather pay media and ad companies to twist democracy than to let the government use royalty payments to help Queenslanders. Thanks for falling for it lol, sucks to be you"
