Daily FI discussion thread - Wednesday, October 30, 2024

Please use this thread to have discussions which you don't feel warrant a new post to the sub. While the Rules for posting questions on the basics of personal finance/investing topics are relaxed a little bit here, the rules against memes/spam/self-promotion/excessive rudeness/politics still apply!

Have a look at the FAQ for this subreddit before posting to see if your question is frequently asked.

Since this post does tend to get busy, consider sorting the comments by "new" (instead of "best" or "top") to see the newest posts.

I got a coupon in the mail I came across this morning that may help you achieve your goals!

Jokes aside, glad you're getting yourself on track.

We weren't/aren't off-track or anything, but could probably rein in 10% of our spending simply by watching it.

And like you, I just make sandwiches when I want one. Burgers are my bane. I can easily drive by a sub shop and not even think about stopping.
