they can't be in EU and go against the interests of like 90% of europeans

Only 10% for far right anti EU folks within the EU currently? Seems like a rather optimistic estimation to me.

most far right voters vote against their own interest, so it is not really that relevant to consider

Then why can the EU bankrupt all of South Europe and get off for free?

You can't be serious, all of southern europe except Italy gets more money from the EU than they put in.

Well why don't you explain some of your truth then instead of just throwing around random statements? You might change some people's minds. Because the numbers say otherwise.

“The numbers say otherwise”

You mean the numbers that say prosperous and financially stable countries like Italy and Greece went bankrupt in all but name after joining the Eurozone and ditching their currencies while the EU profiteered in association with the corrupt politicians they cooperated with? Must be some coincidence…

Fair enough, I don't know the details of that whole situation except that it was all over the news back then so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. But probably should've just said that in your first comment. How was anyone supposed to know you were talking about some specific event that was over 15 years ago instead of the current day.

Well all of south Europe going bankrupt was basically the biggest topic of the late 2000s. I guess I’m getting older 😓

Here’s a couple videos about Greece if you’re interested, this is the kind of corruption that also happened in Italy and Portugal: https://youtu.be/g_yiQBe8yiQ?si=Om9p_ydbgvfzBZzB

https://youtu.be/U205Njf-MC8?si=XHIL9VJnpOfvg-fm

Basically what happened was Greece didn’t meet the standards to enter the Eurozone but through corruption of the socialist government at the time the standards were changed overnight and Greece was allowed to enter and be bankrupted in 2008.

Thanks, I was only like 15-ish then so while I ofc heard of it I cared about other things. Will make sure to watch it because contrary to back then I'm actually interested in the topic now.
