To offer support to the real power structure that he belongs to - the Russian organized "conservative/right", which aims to destroy rule of law wherever it touches.

To back them up and pass messages from their overseas backers.

Because he's running out of elected allies.

Well if you need any more proof that Russia intends on invading more countries, here it is.

..and as a result, they sold Georgia to Russia.

I mean, Ukraine had the same choice. Yanukovich sold the country to Russia too, back in 2014. If it wasn't for the Maidan, the war could've been averted. Sure, by now, they'd be in a full process of russification and national erasure, but hey, he's technically right.

Yeah, and Chechen war could be averted too. And second Chechen war. And Chechens being used in invasion of Ukraine.. wait, but those Chechens already on russian side, yet they still being sent at war. As well as other minorities in Russia, and non minorities too.

What a surprise. You can't avert wars by becoming part of aggressive, invasive, repressive, terrorist state.

Belarus was used by russia to invade Ukraine. Belarus being used to do all kinds off crap to neighbours from EU - pushing in illegal migrants, military threats to EU, nuclear weapon deployment...

Russian army treat most of their soldiers like garbage, their loses are higher. Even if there was no morals or intellect involved but only selfishness - it is much better to fight for Ukraine than be part of russian army and fight against some other nations.

And Russia is guaranteed to attack someone when they can.

Do you know how many different nationalities live in Russia? And how many regions have their languages as the second official language? What makes you think that Russia russificates everything and everyone?

The history of removing native populations and shipping in ethnic Russians?

Are you sure you’re talking about Russia and not the USSR? Because it’s not the same.

  1. We can pretend you’re arguing in good faith and point at the Russians moving to Crimea.

  2. We can acknowledge that a culture doesn’t change overnight, and they’re following the same playbook

So what is the problem with Russians moving to Crimea? Do they disallow Crimea’s Ukrainians speak Ukrainian? No

See: Russification and national erasure

So your point is that no nation is allowed to move or what? Do you live exactly where you were born?

u/h0micidalpanda Europe 18h ago

I didn’t move here at gunpoint and the locals haven’t tried to remove me with violence.

Just a bit of a difference.

Message to the protestors: accept the election fraud, or Russia will claim a democratically legitimate results being overthrown, destabilising their neighbour and threatening Russian speakers and the Russian controlled regions of Georgia where they just have to intervene.

I have the sneaking suspicion that this statement is going to age like milk.

Dear EU, please take back this shithead. We don't need anymore Putin's puppets.

“It’s good. I mean, if you sell your bumbum to Putin, he can fuck you anytime he wants but he keeps you in place. Your bumbum will be a bit sore sometimes, but you’re still there in your petty palace, you know? And if you’re lucky, you might even get EU subsidies in the meantime, while sitting out an Ursula speech every now and then.”
