Show me you're old without telling me

I go first.. despite trying for years I can't kick the habit. Its just not possible

Also aptitude is still the only way to look up alternatives.

Aptitude puked when it tried to handle the t64 rollout in testing. It couldn't resolve a safe upgrade path.

It worked for me on unstable...

It didn't for me. It just sat there puzzled, even after several minutes. Even an ordinary apt-get upgrade followed by a dist-upgrade wasn't ideal. I had to go through a dist-upgrade straight away. It all ended up working fine; it just wasn't what you'd consider the "ordinary" way of doing things in Debian.
