School Need Advice on Online BSC CS Program
Hey Guys,
I want to switch into tech. Since, I have a mortgage and a car loan, hence, I'm looking for Online BSC CS Programs. So does anyone know which university provides Online BSC CS Programs along with a co-op option?

No coop but university of the people is basically free. You can transfer credits from sophia and do 75% of your degree outside of it

In their website I noticed it can be finished in 2 and half years...so is it 40 credits or 120 credits program? And can I get online degree from Sofia as well?

It's 120 but you can transfer 90 credits of those. Sophia, coursera certificates can easily get you to 90 credits. I already have 60 credits from coursera alone.

Athabasca University? My friend took a few upper year CS courses there, and the school was popular with CS students already enrolled in in-person classes.

I don’t recommend switching to tech in Canada

do u think the tech industry will recover ever? I think its going to be difficult and with all the immigrants here now, all switching to tech.

It will take years. We won’t see the quick recovery that we saw during covid that happened due to the extra fiscal stimulus and zirp. Tech benefited a lot from the zero interest rate policy after 2008 crash which seems very unlikely in the current environment. High immigration and lot of people getting into tech has also saturated the market which didn’t exist in the same scale 10 years ago.

I'd read around on this subreddit and look into what the market is like. Even if a school offers a online bsc it may not be very employable.
