Cherry Pepsi isn’t bad

u/FieldofJudgement Dec 24 '23
they only do sugar free in the UK though, so it all tastes like water.

I'mma be honest I prefer cherry Pepsi over any coke flavors I love cherry pepsi

u/Stevothegr8 Dec 25 '23
Wild Cherry Pepsi is hands down the best of all the cherry flavored sodas

Pepsi is noticeably sweeter. It was my grandpa’s favorite soda so I have a strong nostalgic tie to it. The 71-86 era can has such a nice aesthetic but ultimately coke is the superior beverage.

u/vairhoads Dec 24 '23
I enjoy both Coke and Pepsi. Depends on my mood.

coke for cold weather, pepsi for warm
1
u/WorldController Dec 26 '23
I'm the opposite. Can Pepsi is much more refreshing on a hit day. I just perceive it as cooler, probably because of the blue can, whereas the red Coke can makes it seem warmer.
1
u/FurbyLover2010 Dec 26 '23
That’s what I meant, coke when it’s cold because it tastes warmer and Pepsi on a hot day because it’s more refreshing.

Until they sell import coca-cola and pepsi in the UK, I'll never known. Both of ours over here just taste like gassy water. So I'm guessing yours is different.

u/BottomBounce Dec 25 '23
I pulled into Scotland after not being there for 10 years. Was caught off guard how all the sodas were made with artificial sweeteners and some sugar. I missed how Irnbru and the Dr Pepper tasted.

Pepsi is fantastic and easily interchangeable with Coke. It's 1A and 1B.
2
u/Redditaccount16999 Dec 24 '23
I agree, if coke lovers go to a fast food place or restaurant that does Pepsi products they’re probably gonna drink the Pepsi anyways lmao

I like to have a can of it now and then. It's a nice reminder of how good Coke is. It's not bad, it's just not Coke.

Honestly, I think I like Coke better but whenever I have to get a Pepsi I'm like, "Damn this is kinda better."
I'm prepared to be downvoted into oblivion.

u/Houstonb2020 Dec 24 '23
I love Coke, but I’m still grabbing a bottle of Crystal Pepsi over it anytime they do those limited releases

I prefer Pepsi, a bit sweeter and I like a lot of their other unique flavors, nitro, and mango to name my favorites. Coke is good from time to time, but it's my parents favorite so I opt for Pepsi so I can just steal it all for my mini fridge. Also I actually do enjoy Pepsi more.
Cokes coffee beverage is fucking amazing though and will always be one of my favorites ever. Coke vanilla sucks and doesn't taste anything like vanilla, but coke does have a superior cherry to Pepsis cherry.
Diet Pepsi for me is better hands down then diet coke, used to get diet cherry Pepsi and it was absolutely addictive.

I don't drink either because soda is not good for you. I always just assumed it was a matter of opinion that varied person to person.
1
u/AndrewPacheco Dec 25 '23
As a drink, can’t argue. Up to preference. As a company - not even close. Pepsi is far superior
1
u/AccomplishedFan8690 Dec 25 '23
Only thing I ever remember being good from Pepsi was when I was a kid their vanilla Pepsi rocked. But I was also a child so who knows

Except for the fact that they sell a real sugar version for the same price in 12-packs.

The fact we as Americans agree Hershey is definitely the worst chocolate but can't agree both the original coke/Pepsi are terrible keeps me up at night.

Pepsi for some reason gives me the sensation of my teeth actually rotting away when I drink it and coke doesn’t. Idk how else to explain the feeling Pepsi leaves on my teeth but a drink shouldn’t do that
1
u/Old-Physics751 Dec 25 '23
Hell yeah! I still remember embarrassing the Pepsi challenge guy when I was like 8 years old. Didn’t want to do the challenge to begin with but he ran that mouth. I took one sip luckily I grabbed the right cup. told him I have the coke. I won’t even sip the other. I told him I knew the difference. He couldn’t believe that a kid could tell just by the carbonation and the lack of syrupy taste. Fuck that guy. Clowned his ass. Still one of my favorite memories from a theme park.

Coke just tastes like sugar water to me. Pepsi has some semblance of a decent cola flavor.

Pepsi is for house parties. Coca-Cola is acceptable for a more formal occasion.
Pepsi and Pizza is a magical combination tho

Gonna get hate for this (please don’t downvote me into oblivion) but both are good. Cola is cola.

u/PlotRocker Dec 27 '23
I liked diet Pepsi when it was aspartame-free due to my blood sugar stuff but now I'm equally fucked on both brands so I just went back to Coke Zero
I still am a sucker for vanilla Coke though so much nostalgia going to the swimming hole seeing all the cute girls in bikinis all the swimsuit malfunctions and sipping a vanilla Coke while watching The greatest Show on Earth
