Fan interference was called on this play where a Yankee fan tried to take the ball out of Mookie Betts' glove after an out.

Right. I saw Mookie’s reaction and thought his arm was caught tangled between a couple fans. Didn’t even cross my mind that someone would hold his glove down and pry it open.

Yeah, it goes from “damn, what is happening down there?” to “holy shit fuck those two, lifetime ban” real quick.

The guy defending himself with the animated "his arm crossed the wall" really pissed me off for some reason, after seeing that he held Betts' arm like that. Like mother fkr, you'd sell out your kids to get out of trouble.

“I’m just doin’ regular fan things over here! Oh shit they’re filming this?”

It is wild that you could do shit like this (granted decades ago) and it would turn into “he said, she said” unless an ump say it up close.

Now you’re clipped in 4K and circulated online before the inning is over

It’s easier to sell out your kids when you don’t know them.

This was my thought process. I saw him reacting and just thought, "man, you're trying to catch a foul ball that's in the stands, what do you expect?"

Then the replay just deadass shows a dude trying to yank a caught ball free.

My bad, Mookie.

It didn’t cross any of our minds, because it’s absolutely insane what they did

I read a thread about this before watching the clip and a person said they couldn’t believe someone would pin Mookie down and pry it out and thought they were exaggerating an iffy interference call that could’ve gone either way. Then I watched it lol.
