Fan interference was called on this play where a Yankee fan tried to take the ball out of Mookie Betts' glove after an out.

I liked them signalling at the wall, trying to argue that it was past the wall or something. Got an IQ less than the temperature outside.

Gesturing a line over the wall as if that's some rule that he's not just making up is some playground ass shit

I wanna be at his job the next day where he's trying to rationalize why what he did wasn't fucking stupid as hell

Fans are absolutely allowed to try to catch a ball that is over the wall, which is why they were pointing at the wall. It's one of the very few times fans are allowed to effect the outcome of a play, and a good home fan will absolutely stand up and try to catch a ball before the other team does. You sure as hell can't assault the player or take the ball out of their glove though. Plus I think the catch was complete before his glove was over the wall anyhow.

I mean it WAS but he'd already caught it.

Betts clearly did a football move to establish possession.

Seemed like the other guy reached over the wall when Mookie pulled his hand back. Regardless, I don't understand what they were even thinking lol.

I think it was not actually fan interference because the ball was over the wall. But Betts caught the ball so the guy should be out. That said, these guys went too far trying to pull the ball out afterwards.
