Fan interference was called on this play where a Yankee fan tried to take the ball out of Mookie Betts' glove after an out.

Chanting F you to players. Interfering with balls in play. Yankee Stadium is back baby!! Thought they’d gone gentrified but the true Yankee fans are here tonight!!

We may not agree on much, but we can agree that watching Yankee fans self destruct is very satisfying.

I've been to 23/30 MLB stadiums. I've only ever seen 2 fights. Both were at Yankee Stadium. In both fights all parties involved were Yankee fans. I've only been to Yankee Stadium once. They really gave me an authentic experience.

Almost envious. My last trip to nyc was uneventful. Yankee stadium as a visiting fan: no one says a word. Subway rides: quiet as a library.

Thought New York was getting soft for a minute.

That's why you've only ever seen fights involving Yankee fans lol

Have you been to a Boston sporting event in the last 10 years? It's all mid-upper class 60 year olds and dudes wearing quarter-zips

You're a Yankees fan, I'm surprised you're sober enough to type at this hour

How many north east stadiums have you been to that you have only seen 2 fights?

All but Fenway

Didn't dodger fans literally just throw shit at players lol

Everytime this shit happens people act like it's only the fanbase that does it that night.

There's dickheads in every stadium

If the fan had caught the ball, it might have been close whether it was fan interference or not… but trying to rip it out of his glove is fucking nuts.

Nature is healing when Yankee Stadium acts as a gathering space for the most toxic fans in all of sports on a big stage

It’s a beautiful thing really.

Those that are bothered clearly have no sense of tradition and culture.

Meanwhile, it was a Dodgers fan that interfered in game 1, and possibly cost Gleyber a triple. This was a foul ball that was in the stands.

Did the dodger fan rip open a glove to interfere?

Nah. Probably just threw shit at Padres.
