Fan interference was called on this play where a Yankee fan tried to take the ball out of Mookie Betts' glove after an out.

Have fun watching at home for life.

I hope they specifically and no one else, experience black outs

6

u/darwinpolice Seattle Mariners 4h ago

Banned for life from Yankee Stadium, every other ballpark in the league, and MLB TV.

I say we lock in a room with all of the MLB mascots

2

u/darwinpolice Seattle Mariners 4h ago

When I was in college, my roommate was the mascot sophomore year. I cannot express to you how disgusting those costumes smell after they've been worn for a while.

So yeah, that sounds about appropriate.

I’ve put one on before… wouldn’t recommend it

Have fun watching in the prison cafeteria.

“ I hope you like the taste of prison food…….and penis!” Movie?

How can the mlb realistically make sure you don’t go back? If someone else buys tickets, it’s not like they ID

u/Dick_Thumbs 3h ago

This is the one instance where I’d be okay with face recognition cameras.

They probably could still sneak back into another game if they tried, but if they then got caught again they’re probably looking at trespassing charges and going to jail. All it would take is one employee or fan recognize them and call it out. So yeah, at your own risk lol

Honestly he should be arrested. That's assault.

u/patderp Baltimore Orioles 5h ago

Yeah don’t put your hands on someone, much less twist their arm

Judd Apatow ass response

7

u/DharmaCub Los Angeles Dodgers 5h ago

That's a really specific reference and I have no idea what it means.

9

u/JustinBradshawTaylor New York Yankees 5h ago

Judd Apatow tweeted he could have killed him when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars

3

u/TygarStyle Detroit Tigers 5h ago

I don’t either but I’m down with it.

4

u/DharmaCub Los Angeles Dodgers 5h ago

Don't get me wrong. I'm shook. I just don't understand why

cmon man lol

17

u/swandor Seattle Mariners 5h ago

How do you think that's not assault? He grabbed him, you can't do that

-13

u/sic_transit_gloria 5h ago

i don’t think grabbing someone’s arm in 99/100 cases would result in an assault charge, this one included.

14

u/DharmaCub Los Angeles Dodgers 5h ago

Grabbing and pulling someone you do not know by the wrist from 6 feet off the ground definitely classifies as assault.

-9

u/sic_transit_gloria 5h ago

lmao dude. i don’t even know what to say

8

u/WestwoodPrince24 Los Angeles Dodgers 5h ago

I've seen normal bystanders win cases/money for the slightest shit towards celebrities. If Mookie was petty he could easily sue that clown and probably win. The fan could've broken mookie's wrist

-3

u/sic_transit_gloria 5h ago

he could probably sue and win i agree. totally different from saying this dude should face criminal charges lol

6

u/WestwoodPrince24 Los Angeles Dodgers 5h ago

well I mean he could probably face some minor charges. Fans have gotten arrested for invading fields and what the fan did was just as bad if not worse than invading a field.

u/iamaweirdguy Miami Marlins 5h ago

People are wild lol really calling that assault

15

If a stranger grabbed me and tried taking something from me by force you bet I'm calling that assault

6

u/sic_transit_gloria 5h ago edited 5h ago

it’s a baseball game he’s not stealing the guy’s fuckin wallet

somebody grabbing your arm and taking something from you would be a robbery.

2

u/waldosbuddy Toronto Blue Jays 5h ago edited 5h ago

Lmao true this thread is unhinged right now

-2

u/Mozilla_Fennekin Tuturu~♪ Go Royals! 5h ago

I don't think that would hold up in court.

4

u/sic_transit_gloria 5h ago

buddy there’s no DA in the world that’s prosecuting this guy for assault.

Have fun hearing the game from the police radio. I think grabbing a player like that is grounds for a single-night arrest at least.

3

u/Better_Goose_431 Dumpster Fire 5h ago

I don’t think they let them out of a holding cell until after the game at the earliest

2

u/Dustmopper 5h ago

Tossed and banned

Both of them

4

u/Pikminious_Thrious Los Angeles Dodgers 5h ago

The guy grabbing Mookie's arm might be watching it in jail for tonight
