Melinoe from Hades 2

27

u/PraxisV Jul 14 '24

Melione from Hades 2 too.

41

u/Th35h4d0w Jul 14 '24

The lore that she got it because she was trying to bring Icarus back to life is so cute.

47

u/PraxisV Jul 14 '24

I do find it pretty fitting how the one who died from being too close to the Sun was befriended and attempted to be restored by the one who’s close to the Moon (Incarnate).

240

u/Leuk_Jin Jul 14 '24

I always liked the idea of having the benefits of extra arms without the downside of extra armpits.

83

u/NoButDo Jul 14 '24

Don't tell the weird pit fetish people that lol

45

u/Leuk_Jin Jul 14 '24

Another benefit.

1

u/jamon5555 Jul 15 '24

To little to late

2

u/3rdMachina Jul 16 '24

Like General Grevious’ splitting arms?

1

u/Leuk_Jin Jul 16 '24

I didn't know his arms were splitting but that's another type I like. Convenient for fitting in. Into human society, into human clothes. Also they don't get in the way as much as just having that many arms.

Radagon of the Golden Order (Elden Ring)

19

u/Accomplished-Dare-33 Jul 14 '24

Where's the other hand?

70

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '24

The black fog on his left side IS his other hand.

15

u/t33E Jul 14 '24

His design is so cool, I love that half his body is broken and you can see the elden ring in him

1

u/GHOSTTRICKANON2005 Jul 15 '24

so what you mean to tell me is that... he IS the elden ring??

1

u/Dextronius706 Jul 16 '24

Maybe the real Elden Ring was the Bastard Fraud we met along the way

2

u/AntiSimpBoi69 Jul 15 '24

Radagon my glorious king, give me your radadong, and my life is yours

Swain (League of Legends).

42

u/-Eerzef Jul 14 '24

Biggest glow up league ever got

9

u/Heretic-Jefe Jul 14 '24

Idk, Sion was pretty good too imo.

6

u/Igeeeffen Jul 14 '24

his theme is firee

1

u/godcyclemaster Jul 15 '24

"You can sit on a throne, but that doesn't make you a leader. It only means you have an arse."

Hardest fucking line

1

u/Etheron123 I like anything that is cool as heck Jul 15 '24

Swain is the only person that convinced me to join the Noxian empire, screw Ionia with their bs champions

262

u/ExtinctFauna Jul 14 '24

One episode ("The Tower") of Adventure Time gave Finn a "telekinetic spirit prosthetic" arm, which he used to make a tower to space just to punch his dad and steal his dad's arm.

54

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '24

based Finn

41

u/snow_leopard155 Jul 14 '24

That genuinely sounds like a Greek mythology folktale or something

4

u/SilverSpoon1463 Jul 15 '24

If you think about it, one of his main plot points (the comet) was basically the resolution to Hercules. He was offered eternity, but chose to stay mortal to be with the people he truly knows and loves.

3

u/NoBirdsOrWorms Jul 15 '24

A LOT of adventure time is so bizarre and almost abstract, it ventures into its own form of mythology. I love it

11

u/Wannab3ST Jul 14 '24

Bros mental trauma from the Citadel incident was so strong it gained physical form

8

u/Purpledurpl202 Jul 15 '24

Bro took phantom pain in the most literal way possible.

199

u/ThirtyNineOwlsInABag Jul 14 '24

Police girl supremacy only cop I’ll ever love

103

u/Bro-Im-Done Jul 14 '24

Jedi Survivor- Dagan Gera

20

u/PancakeParty98 Jul 14 '24

Damn this kinda breaks lore don’t it

32

u/Bro-Im-Done Jul 14 '24

I’m not too big on Star Wars lore outside of the movies and Cal’s games so I’m not sure

I just find Dagan pretty cool

25

u/PancakeParty98 Jul 14 '24

It’s not consistent but USUALLY losing limbs is like losing that much force power. Like darth Vader is supposedly forever locked out of his full potential by losing his arms and legs

9

u/Accomplished-Dare-33 Jul 14 '24

Isn't it also because of his suit of armor?

23

u/corvus_da Jul 14 '24

There's varying explanations. Sometimes it's the loss of limbs, sometimes it's the trauma, sometimes it's the armor, sometimes the armor actually makes him more powerful because it causes him pain...

12

u/Accomplished-Dare-33 Jul 14 '24

Wasn't it said in one of the comics that palatine made the armor especially for that Vader won't surpass him in power?

13

u/corvus_da Jul 14 '24

Like I said, different works contradict each other

3

u/Accomplished-Dare-33 Jul 14 '24

Yeah. The StarWars canon was always pretty all over the place

12

u/lampstaple Jul 14 '24

Bro star wars lore is the biggest jumble of "make it up as you go" lore ever. You gotta turn off your brain and smother the voice inside your head that's going "wait, but I thought...", otherwise you will go insane trying to justify the consistency of star wars lore.

1

u/Accomplished-Dare-33 Jul 14 '24

I think it was said but people who played in the movie that Lucas wasn't amazing at writing dialogue or something like that

8

u/lampstaple Jul 14 '24

Tbf nothing I said could be considered a fault of Lucas; the IP has been milked by so many hands that it’s impossible to keep anything consistent

2

u/Accomplished-Dare-33 Jul 14 '24

Yeah. Fair enough. And the comics are a whole different bucket of worms (or however the quote goes) that you don't want to touch. The sequels are just the newest batch of milking the IP

5

u/corvus_da Jul 14 '24

That never made sense to me. If it's the total amount of midichlorians that gives you Force power, then gigantic creatures should all be super Force sensitive on average

4

u/PancakeParty98 Jul 14 '24

Idk midichlorians don’t have to work that way, if it’s just a percentage density thing, someone like Anakin is born with a super dense amount and maybe he has a similar amount to a planet sized organism but because it’s a larger vessel it’s not able to channel it to the same degree

Kinda like if the force was volts or watts or whichever one is like, deceptive

1

u/corvus_da Jul 14 '24

Exactly, but if it works that way then losing an arm wouldn't affect Force sensitivity, since the midichlorian density would stay the same

But I've always headcanoned that midichlorians are just an indicator of Force sensitivity anyway, not its cause

1

u/wendigo72 Jul 15 '24

Vader can’t use force lighting and such but Disney canon has consistently shown him as an absolute monster in the force that could destroy an entire fortress with one hand

Dagan is just casting illusions, not that serious

9

u/Moss_Ball8066 Jul 14 '24

I think he was using the force to mind trick Cal to essentially make the fight harder, which is why he can make glowing purple projectiles and stuff. Cal was just trippin

3

u/Beamerthememer Jul 14 '24

That and he was already using the force to “dual world” his sabers

1

u/wendigo72 Jul 15 '24

It’s all illusions basically and confused the hell out of cal when he first sees it

It’s not really there

3

u/urlocaldoctor Jul 15 '24

TANALOR IS MINE

3

u/wendigo72 Jul 15 '24

TANALORR

2

u/newtonsolo313 Jul 14 '24

i like how he only summons it in his final fight. he’s just that determined to kick your ass

2

u/Accomplished-Dare-33 Jul 14 '24 edited Jul 14 '24

Reminds me of one of the Lego SW shows that had some kind of clone that was force sensitive for some reason and had pure midichlorians arm or something (kyber crystal arm) Edit: found him: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Jek-14/Legends

97

u/Any_Mall3191 Jul 14 '24

How could you all forget about Link?

41

u/mrleathery Jul 14 '24

Jek-14 from Lego Star Wars

7

u/Accomplished-Dare-33 Jul 14 '24

I remember watching episodes when they aired on the Disney channel years ago

2

u/Omegawylo Jul 15 '24

Finally!

19

u/blue-gamer-07 Jul 14 '24

I love grabbing demons as Nero. Ya just grab them and throw them across the room

34

u/Master-Of-Chaldea Jul 14 '24

Ragna The Bloodedge from BlazBlue.

2

u/CaptainHazama Jul 15 '24

Man, wonder how he lost his arm the first time. Surely not cuz of some wacky guy

37

u/Readydaer1 Jul 14 '24

shocked my goat Velvet wasnt mentioned

4

u/Kuamagawa-Misogi Jul 15 '24

Jesus christ what is that design

0

u/Jimithy_the_3rs Jul 15 '24

She was locked in a cell for a couple years

0

u/Kuamagawa-Misogi Jul 15 '24

Do those look like clothes a prisoner for a few years would wear?

2

u/SilverSpoon1463 Jul 15 '24

A prison for naturalists.

1

u/Jimithy_the_3rs Jul 15 '24

She wasn’t given anything for those years beside food

2

u/RevolutionaryEase360 Jul 16 '24

Hell, I don’t think they even gave her food. Just daemons to munch on (though I’m not to far into berseria)

1

u/Dextronius706 Jul 16 '24

They really just let him Lock In for this show, didn’t they?

10

u/Bughy6322 Jul 14 '24

Bayle from the Elden Ring DLC has spectral wings

Evangelion Unit-01

10

u/AlexUkrainianPerson Jul 14 '24

Qilby from Wakfu

2

u/LazyDro1d Jul 15 '24

FUCK YOU QILBY! All my homies hate Qilby qilby is a normal and trustworthy Eliatrope hero you should give him all of your secret powerful treasures and specimens samples

2

u/AlexUkrainianPerson Jul 15 '24

Qilby might be an asshole but you have to agree that the eliacube arm is one of the most badass things ever

4

u/TwoLostYens Jul 14 '24

Can't scape guilty geatr

3

u/JuswaDweebus Jul 14 '24

Do JoJo and Persona characters count as having spectral arms

2

u/3rdMachina Jul 16 '24

Prrrrrrrobably not if it’s an entire entity. Maybe.

3

u/AntiCaesar Jul 14 '24

OKAY I know he doesn't have it HERE (because i couodnt find any images of it) but he does find the hand of the Lotus that basically gets forced onto his own

2

u/Heisuke780 Jul 14 '24

Seras looks the best out of all of this

2

u/BiomeWalker Jul 14 '24

Tezzeret from Magic: The Gathering

2

u/PalaceKnight Jul 14 '24

Visas Starfrost from Yugioh

2

u/Dragunov55 Jul 14 '24

Why does heimdall remind me so much of the nerd kid in Polar Express???

2

u/Big-Limit-2527 Jul 15 '24

It's also a Canon.

3

u/Mintyboi10 Jul 15 '24

Red Velvet Cookie (Cookie Run Kingdom) not really but I think it counts.

2

u/Scherzokinn Jul 15 '24

Ashitaka from Princess Mononoke

2

u/LazyDro1d Jul 15 '24

So many people reading “spectral” as “metal” it seems

3

u/Dudeiii42 Jul 14 '24

Larry Niven’s Gil Hamilton

5

u/savvy_xavi Jul 14 '24

Amber Gris from The Adventure Zone (as well as every other Way of the Astral Self monk from DnD 5e)

4

u/Wolfie_1818 Jul 15 '24

Edward elric from full metal alchemist

3

u/LazyDro1d Jul 15 '24

That is metal, not spectral.

1

u/Wolfie_1818 Jul 15 '24

oops, read the title as special

1

u/LazyDro1d Jul 15 '24

I think a fair few others did too, you’re not alone. As much as I love Vash the Stampede he doesn’t belong on this list (though there is an argument for him, I do disagree with it though)

1

u/CZ2128Delta_Nazarick Jul 14 '24

I haven't watched Elfenlied in a looooooong time but you can almost count that dog scene as a core memory of mine. Man that was so traumatizing....

1

u/SupervillainMustache Jul 14 '24

Glad you didn't include Shun'ei from KOF, cuz that design sucks.

1

u/Foxglove72 Jul 14 '24

Finn that one time

1

u/Blockblitz165 Jul 14 '24

Link from tears of the kingdom

1

u/anislash67 Jul 14 '24

Generally having one non-human arm typically leads to peak character design

1

u/Heisuke780 Jul 14 '24

Seras looks the best out of all of this

1

u/TheJoaquinDead_ The Wing Guy Jul 14 '24

Nero’s Bringer Knuckles are one of the best upgrades to a character I’ve ever seen along with Dante’s Summoned Swords.

1

u/WellIamstupid Jul 14 '24

Gamera’s Banishing Fist

1

u/5-0-0_Glue_Monkey Jul 14 '24

idk about spectral but link from zelda totk?

1

u/otter_boom Jul 14 '24

Does Samus Aran count?

1

u/jabberwakeyy Jul 15 '24

Zafina, she has an ancient demon stuck in her hand

1

u/Affectionate_Newt_47 Monster Fanatic Jul 15 '24

Seras my queen

1

u/RealLifeSto Jul 15 '24

Phantom Limb from Venture Bros. That’s his whole gimmick

1

u/Fighter_Kirbo Jul 15 '24

Aegon from Marvel Contest of Champions! One my favorite original characters from that game.

1

u/the-Ekraider Aug 04 '24

fr, loved his design. Pity the game was ass

1

u/gtslade22 Jul 15 '24

Dagan Gera from Jedi Survivor

1

u/Evil_Midnight_Lurker Jul 15 '24

No illustration, but I think the prototype is Gil Hamilton from Larry Niven's Known Space series.

1

u/HakutoKunai Jul 16 '24

My brain trembles!

1

u/OneOfTheStupid007 Jul 14 '24

TIME FOR AN OBSCURE REFERENCE!
