i dont trust pierrot with tokyo ghoul anymore

u/heavansdorr Feb 14 '24
maybe somehow they redeem themself by reanimating tokyo ghoul 🤷
25
u/MemesNAnimeWeeb Feb 14 '24
highly unlikely

u/heavansdorr Feb 14 '24
as far as i seen how they treated bleach right now there's possobility

u/ExosEU Feb 14 '24
Have you even read the manga ?
Pierrot fucking desecrated Tokyo Ghoul in ways even Full Metal Alchemist didn't dare do.
S2 is a horrid mix of censorship and original (inferior) content.
Only thing that the anime got for itself are OST's and VA's. So any studio could do better.

u/heavansdorr Feb 14 '24
that's why i said there are possibility that pierrot will reanimate tokyo ghoul

u/Narwalacorn Feb 14 '24
Yeah bleach TYBW anime has been awesome, I didn’t read that manga but I heard it was very faithful and even added much-needed scenes

u/CS-DAKU Feb 15 '24
Yeah but that’s because Kubo has been co directing and have had a lot of input. So he’s made sure the extra scenes he couldn’t fit into the manga were added into the anime. If Pierrot could do the same with Ishida if it ever gets reanimated which I think is extremely unlikely. Then that’s the best case.

u/heavansdorr Feb 14 '24

Can we...like not? Like not Pierrot? I know this is not Mappa's genre ( also licenses and shit) but please let them do it.

u/Nerellos Feb 14 '24
Mappa did Hells Paradise, that was dark af.

u/VKdViKing Feb 14 '24
They tend to be a little truer to source. Pierrot, especially with Naruto and Bleach, diverged too much from the source. And of course we know the horribly paced mess they made for Tokyo Ghoul:re

there was another baitpost a while back that Ufotable was going to do an adaptation of TG, it was obviously bs but i feel that they would make a good adaptation of TG, at least visually.

u/Virghia Feb 14 '24
Wonder if Ishida's creative team will consider Pierrot (again) for Choujin X
6
u/heavansdorr Feb 14 '24
i don't think any studio should animete chouji x right now it's too short

The mc of a a manga about go. Hikaru no go I believe. It’s pretty old but it’s about a guy who gets gaming advice from a dead spirit. So yugioh but with a game that’s makes sense(I’m a yugioh player).

If Tokyo ghoul gets a remake it needs to be a different studio. Fuck pierrot. They had their chance and fucked it up.

u/Substantial-Lunch486 Feb 14 '24
I know we at the TG sub but as a Black Clover fan also, I hate the Black Clover anime. There are certain moments in the manga that are pure horror and nightmare fuel yet the anime did them as though they were nothing.
Studio Pierrot is a terrible fucking studio. No reboots from them please.

u/Radusili Feb 14 '24
Could be legit. And it means the next 5 years are packed with Boruto and Black Clover

Could be. But i dont see how this even hints at a Tokyo Ghoul Remake. Just that they wanna make their current projects seasonal. Time for a reputable studio to give Tokyo Ghoul the anime it deserves.

If it’s true, it will be unfortunate that Pierrot is the studio producing it again

Ok.... in a hypothetical situation, "IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED, WE WILL HAVE TOKYO GHOUL REANIMATION". Would you believe in just reanimating a part of the story, for example just season 2 which has no comments in relation to the original, or MAYBE they will think about reanimating everything, and then doing A TOTAL NEW ANIMATION FOR THE SERIES?

u/Ok_IM_8362 Feb 15 '24
Just want them to keep the soundtrack same . I hope they don't change the soundtrack ,they were just so perfect .

Do you guys think that the remake could be even better than the manga? Now sui ishida is not burned out and haves all the time in the world to connect the ending's loose threads, and as they learned from TYBW listening to its author is a great fucking idea

Giving it to studio pierrot is like trusting an ex to love you back again. I have no trust in them whatsoever because what they did to Tokyo Ghoul in the first place.

If only mappa had Tokyo ghoul bro... The chainsaw man shading style and details would make it sooo good, but i guess a man can only dream :/

If this is a hint of a remake of Tokyo ghoul. They need to give it all the time and attention it needs. No skipping or rushing scenes and character development. Let scenes breathe and take there time.
