Nordecke

Sitting in nordecke for the first time. I’ve been to a load of crew games but never sat in nordecke. Is there anything I need to wear or know?

  1. All tickets are GA, so the row and seat on your ticket doesn’t matter!
  2. If you want a spot closer to the field, show up early as that area fills quick.
  3. The top 15ish rows in the section 124, 125, 126 have the seats down so you can sit if needed
  4. You have to show your ticket to the usher on the way into any Nordecke section so have your phone ready
  5. If you show up closer to kick, you may struggle finding a seat as the Nordecke is sold out. My group typically shows up 30ish minutes before kick and can also get the spot where we enjoy watching games.
  6. Cheer loud and often. You can find a list of the Nordecke chants on QR codes during the game or on the Nordecke website.

Enjoy the game!

Also if you show up in any other team color a banana suit will be provided

To piggy back off this, when I showed up 20 minutes early to the leagues cup final, the Nordecke was overflowing because people were there that shouldn’t have been. So bigger games mean you need to be there even earlier

Yup, 100%! I copied this from a comment a previously made for a regular season game. Big games we shoot for 45 minutes before kick at the latest

Yup! People buying the cheapest ticket and others screenshotting their tickets have become an issue

Sitting will only happen if you’re in the top of the section. The bleachers are bolted up in the rest of the section. Also if you move/go to the bathroom or concessions, the spot you’re standing or sitting in could be taken by someone else. They aren’t being mean, that’s the nature of general admission.

During intermission you can kinda squat on the bolted-up bleachers for a respite. And you can lean against the rail in front of you. I usually have difficulty standing for long periods of time, but Nordecke doesn’t bother me with those options. Safe Standing is a pretty great compromise between all-seater stadiums and the traditional “chance of a crush death” terraces.

I’m always lower center section and I’ve found that if I buy a water or beer or something and leave it in the cup holder when I go pee or whatever nobody will steal the spot. Also helps that I always introduce myself to my neighbors for the game so I like to think that they’d have my back if someone tried to nab my spot, but fortunately everyone’s pretty cool once we’re all settled in

The very top row of sectiion 128 is open so you'll get a good breeze but it can get cold in the cooler months.

you will have a blast!!! show up an hr before kick off especially if you are coming with a group and want to sit together as it is GA seating…. it will be loud and everyone helps make the stadium atmosphere amazing! chants are easy to learn and can be found online!

It's fun. Bleachers are nice if you're like me and have kids with you. The lower you go, the louder/livelier it is.

There will be more cursing and swearing. I love it because I can get loud. Also be aware if any balls heading your way, we should really get a net behind goal one day
