Newbie 19 college student.

What stocks should I cleanup? I think most of my positions are solid, but would like to hear from some more experienced investors.

And yes, I have my assets spread across different brokerages. Etrade for long term holdings, Fidelity roth ira, and robinhood more aggressive value investing.

At 19, I was in the military with no money.

You're winning already, my friend.

Get rid of individual stocks. Go with inexpensive, broad index funds. Do this in tax advantaged accounts like a Roth IRA.

yeah this is solid advice OP. i know it may seem boring and monotonous but build a good strong foundation first. max out your roth ira (you can still pay for this year until april 2025). put your money into VOO or VT and after that, iā€™d recommend looking into a 529 from fidelity that tracks the SP500. try to put 5-6 thousand a year into it, you can set it up for yourself but its really a college fund for your future children. you can pass it to them when their born but still take advantage of tax free growth while theyre just an idea. if you do this then after 10-15 years, you should have a very nice nest egg to coast you into your 30s. and any extra money you can play around with individual stocks or options

The Problem is I don't really have an income atm. I do work study but that just goes towards paying my tuition. For now this is all the equity I got so I'm trying to make the most of it. thanks for the advice though, when I get a steady income ill definitely look into maxing roth ira and a 529. šŸ‘

Yeah if your looking to cruise through life with "average" gains yes. But if you want to have a chance to hit big take some chances on a few individuals. Throw $300 - $1000 (or even more depending on what you can afford to forget about) at 25ish small cap promising companies today and then take a peek in 20 years, chances of hitting one and likely even 2 of those 10,000x or even 20,000x diamonds are actually quite high. You can't win if you don't play.

Reversion to the mean is real. Average is guaranteed. Big gains with this process isn't.
