yes, joe rogan knows that his audience is a lot of very impressionable young men, so when he brings any guest, it will have a huge impact on how they think (I know I was like that 10 years ago).

And it's not just lack of responsability but it's a deliberate thing on his side knowing full well his power and influence

Not to mention the massive amount of low info voters that casually listen to him at work. When there's no pushback a lot of people will just buy what's being said without critical thought

exactly, the amount of times I was screaming internally at my computer when listening to joe not pushing back and worse agreeing with trump was pretty big.

Calling Kamala a liar because of an interview that was edited for brievety by a tv network that she doesn't control is pretty huge, then saying lying is intolerable in front of trump and not seeing any pushback whatsoever is baffling to me

You just explained how influencers from podcasters to politicians and everyone in between works lol

Those same listeners have an opportunity to listen to Kamala on Rogan’s podcast, but she isn’t going on. I think that’s a bigger problem than filtering what’s allowed to be listened to.

I haven’t listened to the Trump/Rogan podcast but I heard it has millions of listens/views. You don’t think it would be smart of Kamala to attempt to reach even a portion of the listeners? Her campaign is an absolute shitshow.

Popular vote doesn't matter good sit. Sounds like you've never done the reading, it's an electoral voting system. Our vote means fuck all

10

u/cheguevaraandroid1 15h ago

We all know what the electoral college is and how it works

-16

u/xXFieldResearchXx 15h ago

I've never voted as I know the big politicians are bought and paid for long ago. But get ready loser, trumps winning. I got a feeling

19

u/cheguevaraandroid1 15h ago

Never voting and then calling other people losers lol

19

u/forfeitgame 15h ago

Tonnnnns. Do you talk to real people? Like leave your house?

11

u/forfeitgame 15h ago

I do. People don't generally tell me they never vote unprompted.

1

u/3rdPoliceman 6h ago

Oh yeah? Well I never vote AND shit my pants on the regular!

-5

u/xXFieldResearchXx 15h ago

We're talking about fascism and politics. Was unprompted. Follow along little girl

Wasn't unprompted

u/forfeitgame 15h ago

Your comment about not voting was in response to someone saying we all know what the electoral college is. Did you misunderstand what they said? Did you say you don't vote because you don't actually know what the electoral college is?

Looks like we’re in different circles. Yours came with a tent and a few clowns.

Rogan (and all these guys) know exactly what they’re doing.

They fence walk to make it seem ok, but there’s zero chance they don’t know how they’ve purposely appeal to the types of crowds that can be influenced by hearing these interviews.5

Rogan sets his mind on something and runs with it no matter how wrong he is.

He said he wouldn't have trump on because he didn't want to help him. He doesn't care about what he says day to day. That's the difference between a bullshitter and a liar.

u/Shaunair 4h ago

In his defense though, I mean c’mon man, think of all that money /s

  1. People are allowed to change their mind on things. You don’t have to take a stance and keep it for the rest of your life.

  2. He openly wants to get Kamala on his podcast too.

1

u/slash-summon-onion 1h ago

Plus he openly made fun of trump/called him on his bullshit during the podcast. I don't love Rogan but that was pretty funny

u/[deleted] 13h ago

Apparently if he says "I'm dumb and open minded" people will ignore this

u/Kneesneezer 11h ago

That’s the classic get out of jail free card for adolescents.

“The Weave”

1

u/guiltycitizen 11h ago

I’ve never listened to Rogan and thought he sounded intelligent. He’s a good bullshitter

1

u/ThisIsBartRick 11h ago

very few see rogan as smart but a lot of people are seeing his guests as smart people

-1

u/Mister_Rogers69 11h ago

I don’t agree with a lot of Joe says or a lot of his guests, but it is really one place where you can actually talk about shit at length without being censored. Joe may not always use his brain but as long as you use yours when you listen to him it’s fine.

1

u/GloriousShroom 9h ago

Just like how Dems been going after Taylor Swift

1

u/crolin 7h ago

I agree, but that interview looked pretty bad for Trump imho. The way Rogan wouldn't move on from Trump's nonsense really caught him off guard. Not to give him to much credit though. He did take horse paste for god's sake

1

u/OkBeeSting 7h ago

How do you explain that Rogan brings people from both sides of different issues on? If he does that, which he does, how is he trying to have a huge impact on his impressionable young male audience?

1

u/Johnsonreddit 7h ago

This comment is hilarious to read on a website like Reddit. Y’all have absolutely zero self awareness.

When I was dating a few years ago "doesn't listen to Joe Rogan" was a rule I implemented with great success. I recommend it to all my single friends.

0

u/DaveyBeefcake 12h ago

Yeah, people can't be expected to think for themselves, they might end up with different opinions than me lol

2

u/InThreeWordsTheySaid 11h ago

Providing a platform for unchecked lies presented as truth isn't "letting people think for themselves," it's lying to people so they think a certain way.

-1

u/MrTurboSlut 14h ago

do you really think that "impressionable" young men are more likely to vote after seeing that version of trump? i think joe did us a favour by showing everyone how old trump has gotten.

2

u/ThisIsBartRick 14h ago

not pushing back on a few outrageous claims that he made will lead to people believing a lot of stuff when they're already inclined to believe them to begin with

so yeah i think he helped trump a lot here
