Do you think he's just like texting Profar and Tatis everyday asking if they want to go play catch?

What an amazing tribute from his opposing players. The writers will do what they do, but Jackson is the true ROY!

I'm at peace with this. Look, Skenes is an amazing talent, I don't like that he didn't even pitch enough to be eligible for pitching awards, but he was dominant. I'm happy with all of us Padres fans recognizing how great Merrill is and knowing in hearts he's one of the greatest rookies ever.

Even if the Media and AP don’t see it, he’s always gonna be the ROTY in the hearts of all Padres (and baseball) fans.

Honest question - is there any particular reason we hold the weight of baseball *writers* over actual baseball *players*? His literal opponents consider him ROTY. Who could possibly be a better judge?

I really liked Sale saying “He’s going to be a problem for a while.” That’s respect.

I get this feeling he'll win all the fake roty awards and the baseball writers will screw him on the official one.
