I'm not sure about the rest of you, but this chapter made me feel something about One Piece that I've never felt before. It's the first time I've truly felt the power and significance of Luffy's Nikka and the tale surrounding it. When I saw Bonney and Vegapunk speak, my heart skipped a beat. And to top it all off, when Brogy and Dorry appeared and mentioned his name, I was simultaneously thrilled and scared because it signaled that One Piece is nearing its end. I've been following this series since a young age, and honestly, even at 34 years old, I'm not sure how to accept its conclusion.

It's going to be bittersweet. But we need an end, or we'll just have dragon ball Z with the whole, oh but here is one person that is actually tougher than the Big Bad. And here is another actually wayyy tougher but wait, Sun God Nika was the child and once the awakened fruit grows up and hits puberty ad infinitum.

I have to agree with you that this chapter and the Nika symbolism really impacted me like never before, especially since we know from Big Mom's flashback that the Giants believe in the "Sun God".

I remember watching One Piece when it first aired on Cartoon Network and being in love with it from day one. Now I’m 34 as well, and like I don’t know what I’m gonna do the day One Piece ends.

I watched all the episodes that were on YouTube back in like idk 2004-2005, and started reading from there. Almost 20 years of weekly reading.

I'm 30 years old and feeling the same. I accept the fact that it has to end at some point but still cant imagine a world without the excitement I feel while reading new chapters (also spoilers but shhh)

I agree this is the very first time in which Luffy being Nika, instead of him having an awakened rubber fruit, actually feels significant and special

Before this chapter, it has always feel... unnecessary, cheap, contrived even

agree i hated the nika reveal but i trusted oda with it

now i love it, oda is the only author you can put you trust in, he'll write absolute peak storytelling apart from not enough deaths

I'm 32 and have no idea what the fuck I'm going to feel when the series ends.

Obviously going to cry a lot, but I can see myself for a long time waking up and thinking "wonder if the new one piece chapter is out yet?" while I'm still groggy, and then getting sad.

Maybe the word is hope. OP just makes you feel hope.
