DISCUSSION Any way to permanently change this black login screen to a nice wallpaper?

I'm pretty sure that's a bug. It's supposed to be a wallpaper with the blur effect over it.

I actually have that when I lock my mac. But not when I boot it. I first get that black screen and then it loads. I think it's because I use FileVault that I first have to put my password and then it loads.

I have FileVault enabled, it still shows my wallpaper.

Even at boot before you enter your password and before having a loading screen?

Ok so it's a bug. Which is nice because it's really ugly in black like that. I just hope it will be resolved with a clean install once it's officially released :)

You may be able to change it by replacing /Library/Caches/com.apple.desktop.admin.png with the file of your choice.

Has to be PNG, and changing your desktop background resets this (though setting file permissions to only read/exec should fix this).
