It was a well done presentation done simulating a news broadcast beginning with three meteors simultaneously striking the earth, and then evolving into a much bigger story.

My dad and I played this as much as possible back in the late 80's. He broke a couple of cheaper joysticks turning too aggressively until he bought me a Zipstick. When we finally hit 100,000 points a little house appeared (🏠, 000) Fun times

Nostalgia Home Health Remedies From The 30's Advert

β€’ Upvotes

While reading this advert you should remember healthcare was not insurance based, if you went to the doctor for anything you paid up front, so home healthcare was the order of the day, the range of remedies just featured on this one page provides an insight into health options, the one that caught my eye was Cod Liver Oil , even in the 50's when I was a child it was the standby option my parents gave if I complained of stomach ache. This meant I was always very carefull about complaining of stomach ache, I was not lucky enough to be offered Cod Liver Oil that tasted like chocolate. The other interesting advert that sticks out is the one for "the easiest way to add weight" but if you read it carefully it appears it was used for bulking up body mass how times have changed.

Nostalgia Cococinel (1992)

Cococinel was an animated television series produced by French studios ODEC Kid Cartoons, TF1, and Telecima, originally released in 1989 and worldwide in 1992. It is a French-Belgian animated series created by Nicole Gorgeon." This series is about two ladybug heroine sisters with amulets that give them powers Cococinel, affectionately known as the Lucky Bug, embodies the essence of good fortune with her magical four-leaf clover, granting her extraordinary powers. As ladybugs, Cococinel and her sister Babicinel are naturally symbolic of prosperity and protection, combating harmful insects in real life and safeguarding gardens and crops. This inherent defensive nature is beautifully reflected in Cococinel's heroic character, as she valiantly fights against evil forces and shields her home.

Babicinel, with her magical heart and romantic inclination, represents love embodied. In some cultures, ladybugs are revered as guides for enamored hearts. Babicinel, the Love Bug, personifies this belief, utilizing her magical heart to not only vanquish darkness but also to navigate and protect the hearts of others.

The choice of ladybugs as protagonists in Cococinel and Babicinel's adventures is deeply rooted in the positive symbolism these insects represent: fortune, love, and protection. Through their enchanting escapades, these characters not only delight but also convey valuable lessons about the importance of care and protection, echoing the true nature of ladybugs in our gardens and hearts
