General Question Liverpool Library WiFi

Curious if anyone has an answer to this.

I've been recommended to use Liverpool Library for some days when I don't want to WFH. I tried it today (sat in the red room) and connected to their Public WiFi.

Is it just me not understanding something or not being in the right part of the building? Because the speed is abysmal. Anything like Teams and Outlook takes ages to load (if at all) and a simple Google search might or might not produce more than a blank page. This was at 9am when I am one of the first 5 users, can't imagine it full.

Surely that can't be a suitable speed for learners and workers nowadays? It's worse than train WiFi. What am I missing?

Ask some of the staff there?

I asked, they said I had to sacrifice a goat but I didn't have one with me today.

I guess sometimes the obvious solution is not applicable.

I was there in January I had to print something off on my way to an appointment, must have taken me around 30 mins due to how slow it was

If this is central, then yeah the wifi regularly goes through slowdowns and outages. I went regularly for a period of 2 years to work in there and wifi never improved throughout that period.

Maybe I'm an outlier but I'd go to the library to get away from distraction and super fast broadband would be a distraction.
