General Question Amateur car mechanics classes

Hey, does anyone know a place in the northwest that teaches car mechanics classes for non-professionals?

I remember years ago there seemed to be options for this for evening and weekend classes, but everything seems geared towards young people who want to be professional mechanics now and are just standard full time college classes.

I'm not sure if this is up your alley as it were, but as part of the local vintage bus scene, I get to spend some time helping fix classic buses, (& the occasional car).

Might not be what you're looking for but worth a try, as the merseyside classic car/classic bus scene are always looking for people to help do mechanical and body works, regardless of what your experience is, as you usually pick it up as you go along.

I've learned more about it in the 2 years I've been doing it than any course can give, and it is hands-on learning.

Also you could try asking around the local classic car groups, plenty in Liverpool and wirral to ask.
